Sura: Al-Mulk

Tabaraka allathee biyadihi almulku wahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeerun [E nglish Transliteration]

Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things hath Power;- [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

Allathee khalaqa almawta waalhayata liyabluwakum He Who created Death and Life, that He may try ayyukum ahsanu AAamalan wahuwa alAAazeezu which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in alghafooru [E nglish Transliteration] Might, Oft-Forgiving;- [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

Allathee khalaqa sabAAa samawatin tibaqan ma tara He Who created the seven heavens one above fee khalqi alrrahmani min tafawutin fairjiAAi albasaraanother: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the hal tara min futoorin [E nglish Transliteration] Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw? [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

Thumma irjiAAi albasara karratayni yanqalib ilayka albasaru khasian wahuwa haseerun [E nglish
Transliteration]

Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out. [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

[:]
Walaqad zayyanna alssamaa alddunya bimasabeeha And we have, (from of old), adorned the lowest wajaAAalnaha rujooman lilshshayateeni waaAAtadna heaven with Lamps, and We have made such lahum AAathaba alssaAAeeri [E nglish Transliteration] (Lamps) (as) missiles to drive away the Evil Ones, and have prepared for them the Penalty of the Blazing Fire. [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

Walillatheena kafaroo birabbihim AAathabu

[:]
For those who reject their Lord (and Cherisher) is

jahannama wabisa almaseeru [E nglish Transliteration]

the Penalty of Hell: and evil is (such), Destination.

[:]
Itha olqoo feeha samiAAoo laha shaheeqan wahiya tafooru [E nglish Transliteration]

When they are cast therein, they will hear the (terrible) drawing in of its breath even as it blazes forth, [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

[:]

Takadu tamayyazu mina alghaythi kullama olqiya feeha fawjun saalahum khazanatuha alam yatikum natheerun [E nglish Transliteration]

Almost bursting with fury: Every time a Group is cast therein, its Keepers will ask, "Did no Warner come to you?" [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

Qaloo bala qad jaana natheerun fakaththabna They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, waqulna ma nazzala Allahu min shayin in antum illa but we rejected him and said, 'Allah never sent down fee dalalin kabeerin [E nglish Transliteration] any (Message): ye are nothing but an egregious delusion!'" [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

Waqaloo law kunna nasmaAAu aw naAAqilu ma kunna fee ashabi alssaAAeeri [E nglish Transliteration]

They will further say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we should not (now) be among the Companions of the Blazing Fire!" [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

[:]
FaiAAtarafoo bithanbihim fasuhqan liashabi alssaAAeeri [E nglish Transliteration] They will then confess their sins: but far will be (Forgiveness) from the Companions of the Blazing Fire! [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

Inna allatheena yakhshawna rabbahum bialghaybi lahum maghfiratun waajrun kabeerun [E nglish
Transliteration]

[:]
As for those who fear their Lord unseen, for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward. [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

[:]
Waasirroo qawlakum awi ijharoo bihi innahu

And whether ye hide your word or publish it, He

AAaleemun bithati alssudoori [E nglish Transliteration]

certainly has (full) knowledge, of the secrets of (all) hearts. [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

[:]
Ala yaAAlamu man khalaqa wahuwa allateefu alkhabeeru [E nglish Transliteration] Should He not know,- He that created? and He is the One that understands the finest mysteries (and) is well-acquainted (with them). [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

Huwa allathee jaAAala lakumu alarda thaloolan faimshoo fee manakibiha wakuloo min rizqihi wailayhi alnnushooru [E nglish Transliteration]

It is He Who has made the earth manageable for you, so traverse ye through its tracts and enjoy of the Sustenance which He furnishes: but unto Him is the Resurrection. [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

[:]

Aamintum man fee alssamai an yakhsifa bikumu alarda faitha hiya tamooru [E nglish Transliteration]

Do ye feel secure that He Who is in heaven will not cause you to be swallowed up by the earth when it shakes (as in an earthquake)? [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

[:]

Am amintum man fee alssamai an yursila AAalaykum Or do ye feel secure that He Who is in Heaven will hasiban fasataAAlamoona kayfa natheeri [E nglish not send against you a violent tornado (with showers Transliteration] of stones), so that ye shall know how (terrible) was My warning? [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

Walaqad kaththaba allatheena min qablihim fakayfa But indeed men before them rejected (My warning): kana nakeeri [E nglish Transliteration] then how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)?
[A bdullah Yusuf A li]

[:]

Awalam yaraw ila alttayri fawqahum saffatin wayaqbidna ma yumsikuhunna illa alrrahmanu innahu bikulli shayin baseerun [E nglish Transliteration]

Do they not observe the birds above them, spreading their wings and folding them in? None can uphold them except (Allah) Most Gracious: Truly (Allah) Most Gracious: Truly it is He that watches over all things. [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

Amman hatha allathee huwa jundun lakum Nay, who is there that can help you, (even as) an yansurukum min dooni alrrahmani ini alkafiroona illa army, besides (Allah) Most Merciful? In nothing but fee ghuroorin [E nglish Transliteration] delusion are the Unbelievers. [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

[:]

Amman hatha allathee yarzuqukum in amsaka Or who is there that can provide you with rizqahu bal lajjoo fee AAutuwwin wanufoorin [E nglish Sustenance if He were to withhold His provision? Transliteration] Nay, they obstinately persist in insolent impiety and flight (from the Truth). [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

[:]

Afaman yamshee mukibban AAala wajhihi ahda amman yamshee sawiyyan AAala siratin mustaqeemin [E nglish Transliteration]

Is then one who walks headlong, with his face grovelling, better guided,- or one who walks evenly on a Straight Way? [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

[:]

Qul huwa allathee anshaakum wajaAAala lakumu alssamAAa waalabsara waalafidata qaleelan ma tashkuroona [E nglish Transliteration]

Say: "It is He Who has created you (and made you grow), and made for you the faculties of hearing, seeing, feeling and understanding: little thanks it is ye give. [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

Qul huwa allathee tharaakum fee alardi wailayhi tuhsharoona [E nglish Transliteration]

Say: "It is He Who has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered together."
[A bdullah Yusuf A li]

[:]
Wayaqooloona mata hatha alwaAAdu in kuntum sadiqeena [E nglish Transliteration]

They ask: When will this promise be (fulfilled)? - If ye are telling the truth. [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

Qul innama alAAilmu AAinda Allahi wainnama ana natheerun mubeenun [E nglish Transliteration]

Say: "As to the knowledge of the time, it is with Allah alone: I am (sent) only to warn plainly in public."
[A bdullah Yusuf A li]

Falamma raawhu zulfatan seeat wujoohu allatheena At length, when they see it close at hand, grieved kafaroo waqeela hatha allathee kuntum bihi will be the faces of the Unbelievers, and it will be taddaAAoona [E nglish Transliteration] said (to them): "This is (the promise fulfilled), which ye were calling for!" [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

Qul araaytum in ahlakaniya Allahu waman maAAiya Say: "See ye?- If Allah were to destroy me, and aw rahimana faman yujeeru alkafireena min those with me, or if He bestows His Mercy on us,AAathabin aleemin [E nglish Transliteration] yet who can deliver the Unbelievers from a grievous Penalty?" [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

Qul huwa alrrahmanu amanna bihi waAAalayhi Say: "He is (Allah) Most Gracious: We have believed tawakkalna fasataAAlamoona man huwa fee dalalin in Him, and on Him have we put our trust: So, soon mubeenin [E nglish Transliteration] will ye know which (of us) it is that is in manifest error." [A bdullah Yusuf A li]

Qul araaytum in asbaha maokum ghawran faman yateekum bimain maAAeenin [E nglish Transliteration]

Say: "See ye?- If your stream be some morning lost (in the underground earth), who then can supply you with clear-flowing water?" [A bdullah Yusuf A li]
