Introduction 1.1 The background of content We know that the use of slang languages has become a necessity for the teenagers in Indonesia. So, what is slang language itself? Slang language is the use of informal words and expressions that are not considered standard in the speaker's language or dialect but are considered acceptable in certain social settings. Slang language appears around 1980s, when its name is prokem. Prokem means the language of gangster or in Indonesia, usually, we call them as preman. They use it as the way to save their secret from their opposite when they talk about something. Another side, prokem is used to describe themselves as the members of different groups from other groups. But, around 1990s, slang language is defined as a socia, cool, and trendy language. The use of slang language becomes more popular in the society after Debby Sahertian compiles the vocabularies that used by certain comunity (gay, lesbian,etc) and she published a dictionary in 1999. The name is Kamus Bahasa Gaul. Usually, Slang language is used in our daily conversation, social network, among popular media, pop culture magazines, some television programs, radio, etc, expect for formal speech. Because of that, slang language becomes more popular. Slang language is used by teenagers to express theirself to their comunity or friend. When we see the characteristic of teenagers, they are an adventurer, in the group, and doing naughtiness. It will be very unusual to communicate orally to people using the formal Indonesian language. We know that language is very important in our daily activity as a media for communication to people. Now, language becomes a measurement that you are modern people or not. They do not realize that slang language is very close with Betawi language and we know that Betawi is one of region in Indonesia. Between Indonesian language and slang language, of course Indonesian language more modern and developing than slang language, because

Indonesian language is national language level that composites from local language and foreign language. Meanwhile, slang language is local language level that is from Betawi. The use of slang language in wide society in Indonesia, of course bring the negative impact to Indonesian language user in a good and correct manner for right now and in the future. Right now, many society uses slang language and the big problem is teenagers as the next generation can not be far from slang language in their daily communication. Even, it is very concerned, because slang language that used by them very peculiars. For using slang language, sometimes, they also do not consider the place, the situation, and who the interlocutor is. So, it can damage the originally of Indonesian language. And also, because of technology we can get anything easily such as internet and mobile phone. This life style can not be separated from teenagers life, because has function as entertainment and information media, and also communication media. From internet we can search anything, so it is like open a chance for teenagers to find another new slang words, because they do not want to be called as old style. So, they can search it as much as they can. Including mobile phone, they can send text by using slang language or short words, because it can save the time, simply, and modern. The advance of technology has to be used maximally by us to support our knowledge. And something new comes to our life must be filtered first, because not all of them bring a goodness for our life include slang language.ida

Discussion: 1. The negative impacts of slang language for Indonesian teenagers The use of slang language has been consumed by society massively, especially for teenagers. The modern life has covered teenagers life right now. Language becomes a measurement that you are living in the modern style or the old style. Meaning that the original function of using language is not there. Because the use of language must be used in a good and correct manner, like Indonesian language. So, it is bring harm to teenagers. This is the negative impacts of slang language for Indonesian teenagers: 1. The teenagers do not use Indonesian language in a good and correct manner. It is prove that the teenagers are more proud to use slang language than Indonesian language, because slang language is language for modern people, meanwhile Indonesian is language for old style.

2. Decreasing the interest of teenagers to learn Indonesian language. The young generations are disposed to more like something that is modern and developing. By entering western cultures and new languages, of course more interesting for mostly young generation to be learned.

3. The teenagers will get the difficulties to speak Indonesian language in the future. The teenagers are more like to use slang language than Indonesian language in their daily activity when they comunicate to the people. This habit will bring young generations getting difficult in the future because there is no improvment, even, more and more concerned.

4. It can fade the spirit of nationalism and proud attitude to the our language and culture. We know that Indonesia has many tribes and languges, Indonesian language here takes the role as the appliance of nation unifier.

2. The strength of slang language The use of slang language is more liked by teenagers than Indonesian language because of some factors. This table show us the strength of slang language than Indonesian language:

Slang language 1. Slang language has no structure form. 2. Slang language is more simple and free. 3. Slang language is easier to be learned and comprehened. 4. Slang language is more modern.

Indonesian language Indonesian language uses structure form based on EYD. Indonesian language uses formal language and writing. Indonesian language has formulation and rule for speaking and writing. Indonesian language seems like old style.

Some examples of slang language that usually used by teenagers: 1. Some words are transliterations of English ones, for example: Sorry into sori Friend into pren Swear into suer 2. Eliminating one or few letters of the word, for example: habis (depleted) into abis tahu (know) into tau 3. Contraction of two or more words into one word, for example: terima kasih (thank) into makasih jaga image (to safeguard ones social image) into jaim 4. The words have their own unique history or origin. Cuek (to ignore or to take something easy). Doi (boyfriend / girlfriend) originated from the word dia (him/her). Jayus A joke that is meant to be or sound funny, but it is not. Jijay which means disgusting. Sometimes to express a condition of very disgusting. Lu, Lo, Elu, Elo (Formal: Engkau, Kau, Kamu) You. Nggak, Gak (Formal: Tidak) No. Bonyok (Formal: Orang Tua) Parents. Nyokap (Formal: Ibu, Bunda) Mother.

3. The solution of the problems Seeing the condition that happens in Indonesian teenagers has been worried about the position of Indonesian language itself. The teenagers as the next generation in the furture have important role to keep our unity language. So, this is some solutions to solve the problem: 1. Awaking Indonesia society, especially for the next generation, teenagers. Indonesian language as the nation language has to be majored its use. Because of that, they will majored the use of Indonesian language in a good and correct manner than slang language. 2. Giving socialization about how much important the use of Indonesian language to the society, especially for teenagers. And also giving the unique facts about Indonesian language such as: Indonesia language takes the twenty sixth in the world and the third position in Asia as the most complex of structrure in the world. Indonesian language also internationalised in the virtual world, its prove that wikipedia that uses Indonesia language taking the twenty sixth position from 250 wikipedias by using foreign language in the world and the third position in Asia after Japan and Mandarin language. Indonesian language becomes the second official language in Vietnam since 2007. Indonesia language enters to top ten as the language that is interested in all the world. So that, Indonesian teenagers more apreciate their national language to be used than slang language. 3. The teenagers have to habituate to use Indonesian language in a good and correct manner in their daily communication. 4. Increasing for teaching Bahasa Indonesia in the school and college by giving dialogue or monologue practices assignment such as playing drama, writing paper or article, group discussion, making poem, etc. 5. To support all the things, the print and electronic media must still use formal language for giving informations to the society.- D- Menyad

Conclusion Right now, the structure of Indonesian language has gotten many changing. Indonesia society has been unable to use Indonesian language in a good and correct manner, espacially it is happen in Indonesian teenagers. That is happen because of the existence of foreign language and any kinds of language that they assume as a creativity, such as sorry becomes sori, habis becomes abis, cuek, lo, gue, nyokap, etc. They more choose to use new language itself than Indonesian language, because they are afraid if their friends call as old style people. The new language itself called as slang language. But, all can be better in the future if there is an effort to change the condition, such as giving socialization about how much important the use of Indonesian language to the society, especially for teenagers, the teenagers have to habituate to use Indonesian language in a good and correct manner in their daily communication, increasing for teaching Bahasa Indonesia in the school and college by giving dialogue or monologue practices assignment such as playing drama, writing paper or article, group discussion, making poem, etc. So, they can try to apreciate their national language, because Indonesian language has the appliance of nation unifier.
