This year will be full of learning and fun. It is also the year where high schools look at your childs ISAT scores for acceptance into their schools. Students will be taking the Science ISAT as well as the Constitution test. We are excited to have two new teacher residents, who will be working with us. We wanted to introduce ourselves and inform everyone of some important seventh grade information

INTRODUCTIONS:
Ms. Rodriguez is the Reading, Writing and Social Studies teacher. This is her second year at Curtis, last year she taught 7th grade. She holds very high standards for her students. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is looking forward to working together as a team! Hello! I am Ms. Boyer. I teach 7th grade math and science at Curtis School of Excellence. This will be my third year at Curtis and I am excited to get started with our new class. Seventh grade is an extremely important year and it is important that everyone realizes that we have no time to waste. I wanted to introduce myself and let you know that I look forward to working with you as a team this year! WE ALSO HAVE TWO RESIDENT TEACHERS THAT WILL BE WITH US FOR THE YEAR!!!! My name is Ms. McCall and I will be a resident in 7th grade math and science this year. I graduated from University of Michigan with my Bachelors in Elementary Education. After graduation, I worked in charter schools in East Chicago, IN as an interventionist and in West Humboldt Park as a fifth grade instructor. I am very excited to be teaching middle school math and science this year! Outside of school, I enjoy scrapbooking, watching movies, baking, painting, and martial arts. Hello 7th grade! My name is Ms. Rogers and I will be teaching with Ms. Boyer and Ms. McCall. I am very excited to be teaching at Curtis this year. I graduated from the University of Dayton with a middle school math and science degree. I student taught 6th grade math and science as well as 9th grade math in Dayton Public Schools. I am looking forward to a great year!

EXPECTATIONS AND CONSEQUENCES:


The following are the 7th grade expectations: Remain seated unless you have permission to move. Raise hand and wait for permission to speak. Keep hands, feet and other objects to yourself. Use appropriate language. Come prepared to learn in class.
