Please remember to put your name down in a time slot to see your class teacher. The lists are already up in the classrooms. Spar Fairland: Please remember to support our local Spar (Fairland) and Radford by placing your till slips in the box at the door (please write Radford House on the reverse). Spar then calculates the purchases over a period of time and pays the school back a percentage. Bread tags for wheelchairs: The Grade 00 class have had many donations of the little plastic fasteners at the top of bread bags, Thanks to everyone for contributing. When enough tags are collected (by kilo), a wheelchair is donated. Please continue to send your tags in for this worthy cause. Blanket Drive: Thank you for all the lovely warm blankets we were able to collect and distribute to the underpriviledged. Please see the D6 for a letter from the Lufuno Lwa Mudzimu Daycare and PreSchool (RESOURCES) as well as some heart-warming photos (GALLERY). Grade 7 Fundraiser: Professional photos of the dance may be ordered from Simply Photography. Please go check out the website, the photos are all up and available for ordering. There are some stunning photos! http://www.simplyphotography.wozaonline.co.za Uniform: Track Suits: We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the balance of the track suits. Parents that have ordered and paid in advance will receive an sms to collect their uniform as soon as it arrives. The complete tracksuit may be worn as uniform during winter, with the exception of outing days. Although the track top may be coupled with the P.E. shorts, denim shorts or denim long pants, the track pants should only be coupled with the matching top to create a neat and cohesive look. Takkies: There has been a request for us to allow black takkies to be worn (while our field is so sandy). We have decided to allow plain black takkies to be worn, but the children must still wear the plain white ankle socks. Winter Uniform: Everybody should be in winter uniform by now as the mornings are decidedly nippy. Aside from the Radford House P.E. shorts and house shirts which may be worn on P.E. days with warm uniform over, no other variations of uniform should be seen now. Uniform slips will be given to children wearing incorrect uniform.

Lost Property: Please can parents come to collect their childrens lost property in the week that they receive the email. Children may only collect their own items if they bring a signed note from their parents. Please encourage them to check the box regularly for items that may belong to them. End of term lost property sale: Items remaining in the lost property box on the 16 th of June will be sold at the end of term second hand sale on 18th and 19th June. (Items lost and found from 16th June will be kept until Term 3) Keep toasty .

Enriching your word power: querulous: Adjective habitually complaining. (fretful, whining) Who said that? : The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible. (Lets see who gets it first - send me an email
if you know).

Who said that? Answer from Newsletter 9 : Interestingly the quote was credited to both Lou
Holtz (1937 present) and Raymond Chandler (1888 1959). Without conclusive proof of the first utterance, I accepted both answers. Thank you for playing, Ahmed and Ashiqa Atiya, you were the first to respond correctly.
