The narrative report dedicated to people who located their precious time and effort in making this endeavour a success, for without their patience, encouragement, understanding and all out support, this narrative report would not come into reality. Dr. Eusebio V. Angara, Mr. Antonio B. Bolivar, thank you for their approval to conduct On the Job Training. With all sincerity, the management and staff in Isla Virginia Resort, most especially to Rachelle Vida L. Reyes, the manager and also to Chef Alfred Eloja for their valuable assistance and supervision for the whole duration of this OJT. Moreover, to my parents Mr. Mario and Susana D. Tubay for their love inspiration, moral, spiritual, and financial support. INTRODUCTION
On the job training or OJT is one method by which students is given a chance to apply the theories and skills that they have learned from the school. It also helps the student to acquire knowledge and skills by performing in actual work setting. Colleges and Universities require their students to undergo such training within a specific number of hours as part of the curriculum. For the students, an OJT or internship program provides opportunities to go through the actual methodologies of a specific job using the real tools, equipments and documents. In effect, the workplace becomes a development venue for a student trainee to learn more about his chosen field and practice what he has learn from the school. On the other hand, an effective OJT program also benefits the companies who accept trainees. First OJT or intern provides additional manpower for a lesser.
ORIENTATION
Last July 16, 2013, Maam Rachelle Vida L. Reyes, the manger oriented me at Isla Virginia Resort. She said a trainee doesnt need to be so intelligent but rather a trainee must have the courage to supervise his or herself in the middle of this training. You have also to do the duties and responsibilities that is given to you by the authority. Chef Alfred Eloja also oriented me and gives all the instructions on what to do and donts. Not only by cooking but also the cleanliness to prepare food and beverage.
On the Job training (OJT), is a better way of training because it actual. There so many things we want to learned about our course, by means of OJT we can learn it all. We can learn many things and we can apply it afterwards. During the time of my OJT, I learn many things about it. To the help of the supervisor, the staff and co-trainees, I finished my OJT with new knowledge. I learned on how to assist many costumers, to give a good service for the costumers.
Problems Encountered
During my OJT, I have problems that I encountered but I can solve it with mercy of our all mighty GOD. In my situation before the OJT we have some requirements that really need money, one of the most problems is the financial. There is some problem that easy to solve and problem that is hard to solve, but even it is difficult or what, we must solve it, as long as we can manage of our self. That are the problems that I encountered during my On the Job Training (OJT).
