Sarah: Hi Nadia why do you look sad to day, are you sick or you have any problem that I can help you with? Nadia: No Im fine thank you. I just remember my school day. It makes me sad. I realize that life on campus is very different from my previous school. Here I need more independent and have to be patient as I am so far away from my family. Sarah : Oh! Sometimes I also think like you but more to our safety here. Because campus life is quite dangerous .If anything happens to us it is also difficult for us to deal with .But at our school it wasnt like that, it was always safe. Security also was tight, strangers cannot come in easily. What do you think about the people here? Nadia: Oh, they are all very friendly and helpful. We can see many religious students at our Secondary school, we had friends who were also Muslim and Malay, Chinese and Indians. But here we have other races, religions and from all walks of life. Sarah: Yes, I feel the same way too. I have met some student who are Bugis, Iban , Kadazan Dusun and Bidayuh. Also some are from other countries. What do you think about your course work? Nadia: Compare to our school course assignments, our work here is also demanding that need to be completed by the and of the semester. One more thing Sarah in school life we dont have many facilities as on this campus like the internet connections. In school we just could use internet computer internet lab but here we can serve the internet whenever we like. Sarah: Do you know something? I like the social life here because its full of freedom. Here we dont have anyone to control use, its doesnt mean we can do anything we like. But its totally different from our school life. What do you think about the food choices here? Nadia: Owh ya, here we have a wide varieties of food choices. Not like our school Sarah, we just have Nasi lemak, Nasi goreng, Mee goreng and so on. We lack food choices that time but different types of food, We have Nasi goreng Lalap and Buras traditional food in Sabah. Sarah: Yes I agree with you. I want to share about the method of teaching and learning here at University. Its totally different from our school. At school, our teachers always guided us in our studies, but here our lecturers just teach base on slide presentations. We need go to library to read the text books and journal and search the information on the Internet. Nadia: Yes! I agree with you totally. Ops! I have a class soon Im getting. I have to go now.
