LESSON PLAN FOR LITERATURE

DATE: 22nd March 2012 TIME: 9.40 10.10 a.m. CLASS: Year 4 Merah (29 pupils) THEME: World of Knowledge TOPIC: Transportation LEARNING OUTCOMES: 2.1 Speak clearly by pronouncing words accurately. 2.4 Tell stories based on pictures and other stimuli, and recite poems. 3.4.3 Read aloud poems and simple stories clearly and expressively. 3.6.1 Recognise and make small words from big words. 3.9.1 Read simple poems and simple stories. 4.5 Construct simple and compound sentences with guidance and independently. BEHAVIOURAL OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, the pupils will be able to:

Acquire a wide range of vocabulary by forming new words from a word given and completing word-maze.

ii.

Differentiate the different types of transportations by using pictures and word cards.

iii. iv.

Recite the poem correctly and appropriately. Describe and write sentences on their transport that they like.

My dream car. GRAMMAR: Simple present tense, nouns, verbs PUPILS PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: Pupils may have experienced using any of the transportations and may apply it in the lesson.

Teacher distributes worksheet to the students and students will share their answer after they are done. Then, teacher put up a poem on the white board and the teacher will read the poem for the first time. Then, the students will follow after the teacher. The teacher checks the pronunciations of the students and corrects them if there are any mistakes. After that, the teacher will teach the students on the different types of transportation.
