Roommate Contract

I. Guests/Visitors
a. Anyone can have a guest or visitor stay in the room for up to 3 days or more
depending on the circumstances.
b. In the case of guests who wish to spend the night, the host of the guests and
the guests will sleep in the same room. This can mean one of two things
which will be decided at the time:
i. The host and his guests will sleep in the bunk bed room, requiring the
other two roommates to sleep in the double.
ii. The host and his guests will sleep in his own bed, requiring the other
two roommates to sleep in the bunk bed room.
c. No sexual activities of any kind will be permitted on the bed/sheets of
anyone other than that of the person engaging in such activities.

II. Noise Level Study/Sleep Time
a. The roommates should be respectful of one another and should not be afraid
to complain if one of the other roommates is being disrespectful.
b. Music or any other sort of noise should not be played loudly after midnight in
the room without the approval of all of the roommates.
c. Each roommate should be well informed of the others sleep schedules in
addition to any special needs a roommate may have (i.e. an exam in the
morning or paper due the next day).

III. Alcohol/Parties/Drug Use
a. Alcohol and social gatherings will be welcome in the room provided that they
do not disturb any of the other roommates or interfere with any
studying/work.
b. Should any roommate wish to use an illegal substance they will not be
permitted to do so inside the room.

IV. Furnishings/Space
a. In addition to the school supplied furniture, some other additions to the
room may include a futon, bean bag chairs, a rug, and any other object the
roommates deem an acceptable addition to the room.
b. Since A215 is a three-person quad, space should never be an issue to any of
the roommates.

V. Use of Possessions/Personal Items
a. Use of any other roommates possessions without their explicit permission is
prohibited. Always ask before using another persons items, eating their food,
or drinking their alcohol.

VI. Cleaning of Living Spaces
a. Each room should be kept moderately tidy and roommates should be
respectful of each others own living spaces.
b. The bathroom should be cleaned roughly once every two weeks or whenever
it becomes sufficiently dirty. There will be a rotating cycle for bathroom
cleaning and roommates should be aware of when it is their turn to clean.

VII. Additional Topics
a. In the case of a disagreement of any kind, a vote will be cast among the
roommates in which case a two-person majority will be the deciding vote.
