Parents Evening
Have you booked your parents evening online yet? Did you see the letter that came home this week? If
not please log into the school website, find the Parents Evening community and follow the instructions.
76% of the appointments have been booked so far. I hope that most, if not all parents have found the
online booking system convenient to use. If you have any feedback please let me know.
NSPCC
All children took part in the NSPCC fundraising events this week led by Mr Dooley in the school hall.
Please can I ask you to ensure that all sponsor money is back in school by Wednesday 19 November as
Helen Redman from the NSPCC is coming back into school to collect it. Thank you.
Remembrance Day
Well done to all those children who created poppies for our Remembrance Day display in the hall. They
look absolutely amazing. It has been quite a historic week and hopefully one the children will remember
being part of for years to come. I have added a pic collage of some of the poppies to the end of the
newsletter.
PTA Childrens Christmas Cards
As part of the PTA's fundraising for this year, all of the children have drawn pictures to turn into
Christmas Cards, Gift Tags, Wrapping Paper and many other items via a third party company. The
pictures have been uploaded to their web site and items are ready for ordering.
Please go to www.mychildsart.co.uk and log in with the username and password below:
Username: StOswalds

Password: SOPS2014

Please place all orders by 10th November to get your items delivered to the school free of charge.
The PTA will earn 20% commission from all orders placed, so this is a great way to help the PTA, and
get some unique Christmas Cards to your friends and family!
Netball
We had our first netball match for a long time this week
against Mill View School. The team played really well coming
back from 3-0 down at one point to draw level. Here is a
great picture of Eleanor Bullough scoring our first goal. Well
done to the whole team and thanks to the group of Mums who
are training them.

EASY FUNDRAISING PLEASE GET INVOLVED!!!

We are now up to 245 raised at absolutely no cost to us. Remember the
target is 300 by Christmas and we now look like we are making some really
good progress towards this. If you have not signed up yet, please do. All the
instructions are on the school website.
