Last summer, we had the worst holiday ever!

Reading

I must tell you about the amazing time I had last

week at an activity centre. I went with my mates
Nick and Ryan from the youth club, and Clare, my
sister. Clare used to be absolutely terrified of doing
anything dangerous, but she joined in with
everything. There were lots of activities to choose
from, but we ended up doing mostly the same
things. Nick is a really good swimmer. His dad is a
professional diver, so they often spend their
holidays doing watersports. Ryans family go skiing
every winter. Theyre both really lucky.
I enjoyed trying most things, but waterskiing was an
incredible experience. I nearly had an accident,
though and it wasnt even on the water! It
happened on the third day. A group of us were
walking down a hill to the lake. It was raining so the
ground was quite muddy. While I was talking to
Nick, I lost my footing. Suddenly, I was sliding down
a slope and I couldnt stop. I was really fortunate,
though. My tracksuit top got caught on a bush and it
stopped me from falling any more. I wonder if hillsliding will be added to the list of activities!
