Proposal for Minor Project

Project Title: Search & Recuse using Husky

Introduction:
A Search and Rescue Operations has the following steps in play:

Search - finding disaster victims

Rescue - extracting the victims from the area
Technical - ensuring the safety of the rescuers with the help of structural specialists
Medical - providing medical assistance to injured victims and rescuers

Of these, searching and finding a victim is the most time consuming and difficult part of the
operation.
Solution; use Husky to do the following steps:
1. Traverse a part of the region and avoiding static obstacles.
2. Do SLAM.
3. Detecting the presence of humans using heat signature sensors, cameras, listening
devices.
4. Using oxygen and carbon monitoring systems that check the air quality to make sure
no invisible dangers exist.( any suspicious leaks)
5. Also mapping the above information (from step 3 & 4) and real time streaming it to
the base.

Project Idea :
My project focus on using Husky to do the following:
1. Traverse a part of the region and avoiding static obstacles.
2. Do SLAM.
