B. FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION

Health and Nutrition

Five (5) household members of respondents were recorded

to be underweight due to lack of proper diet. The occurrences of
diseases in households are rare. The top five (5) health and
disability issues affecting the community are disability, physical
injury, drug and alcohol abuse, asthma, smoking, and other
respiratory diseases. Seventy seven percent (77%) of the
respondents have training for preventive medicine.
The main sources of water for household use of most of the
respondents are rain water, river, and streams; next are artesian
wells. Only fifty eight percent (58%) has toilet facilities at home
(individual septic tanks and water-sealed toilet facilities).
C. CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
We conclude that many pupils in the Barangay Mangaan are
not knowledgeable enough in proper hand washing. They are not
doing this kind of hygiene both in their school and even in their
homes.
To the next implementer, they must also train the parents so
that they can guide their children.
