The Haney Olympians were in full go for the gold

mode during week 14. The students went for the gold in
math while trying to complete the two-step world
problems. These word problems were really tough, and
the students showed some grit by completing them. In
science, the students went for the gold during our space
lessons. They had to use balance and teamwork to
reenact the rotation and revolving motions of the Earth,
Moon, and the Sun. In writing, gold medal status was
reached by the students in their habitat research papers.
I have been very impressed with their maturity during
the research process. To finish the week, the students
tackled some Thanksgiving related brainteasers, turkey
related acrostics, and troll related reading buddy
activities. Week fourteen was turketastic!
