    Results and conclusion

    From the above table the peak stress measured was observed at the corners and were the stress
    Gradient occurs in a small, localized area of a structure; therefore the peak stress at the localized
    Area shall be ignored.
    The maximum stress measured apart from corners was 236MPa, which is less than the nominal
    Stress of 310Mpa, and the maximum deformation measured was 0.42mm which is less than the bolt
    Hole clearance 0.5mm, therefore the design is safe.
