From my years spent gaining my Bachelors degree at Arizona State University in

Secondary Education Biological Sciences, I have developed my personal teaching philosophy
that I plan on implementing in my future classroom. I want to be able to adapt and grow from my
future experiences in the classroom and in turn grow my teaching philosophy. Teaching is not an
easy task and it takes a lot of involvement and I plan to put my best foot forward to ensure my
students are getting the best possible education. I want to create a classroom that is inviting and
incites students excitement and curiosity.
I became a teacher to inspire and challenge students to live up to their full potential. I
want to spark inquiry in my students and help them develop an intrinsic value of education
whether it be inside the classroom or beyond. My goal is to be more than just an information
provider. I want to be a role model for my students and provide them with several opportunities
to continue their education. I want to encourage students to be their best self and to help them
develop their identities and interests through education.
No two students are alike and I want my classroom to support and foster all my students
abilities and build upon their individuality. I believe that it is important to provide information in
a variety of ways to meet all students learning styles and stay relevant. I would also like to
create an environment where failure is not something to be ashamed of but something to learn
and grow from. Students should be given the opportunity to improve rather than be ridiculed or
scowled for not doing as well as others. I want to teach in a way that challenges students enough
that they arent bored but not to a point where they are discouraged. I want my classroom to be a
collaborative environment that allows students to work together on projects. Projects will be
relevant to real life and help students solve problems in the world around them. Overall, I would
like to motivate my students to be well informed and actively engaged citizens.
