1. What requirements must you meet in order to study abroad? (i.e. GPA, etc.)
Must have the approval of the Office of International Programs and your department
Cumulative GPA of 2.75 for semester or year-long programs
Cumulative GPA of 2.50 for summer programs
Must have at least sophomore standing during term abroad
Must not be in final semester of degree program during period abroad

2. What are the three (3) different types of study abroad programs available to
students?
Exchange, Direct Study Abroad and Faculty-Led
3. What are the deadlines for applying for study abroad?
Spring- October 14
Summer-March 15
Fall- March 15
4. What are three different ways that you can raise money to fund your trip?
NAFSA, IIE Passport scholarship, Gilman Study Abroad Scholarship
5. Name two (2) scholarships that can fund you for your trip and how you meet the
requirements?

British Council- There are numerous scholarships available from the US and UK
governments, as well as from charities and universities, to help you pay your tuition and
living expenses overseas.
Council for International Educational Exchange- (CIEE) offers five different
scholarships for students participating in their programs.
6. Where would you like to travel to for your study abroad experience and why?
I would like to study in the UK, reason being is I have never been there and I think
it would be a cool experience to go somewhere else and see how they learned
compared to how we learn.

7. Does A&T offer this as an option? If not, then what would be your second choice
destination?
A&T does offer where I want to go.
