Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol was born on August 6, 1938 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

His parents were Slovakian immigrants and continued to follow the
culture of their people. Unfortunately, Andy, at age 8, was
diagnosed with a fatal disease called Chorea. This disease was very
rare and affected his nervous system. He became very interested
and intrigued in filmmaking, writing, performance arts, and art
obviously. Andy won many awards during his art career because of
his unique and abstract work. One of his most famous pieces is the
drawing of campball soup which uses lots of color and detail.
Unfortunately, Andy Warhol died February 22, 1987 but still has his
legacy present.

Caparison: My work to Andy Warhol Work

My Artwork
My artwork used lins to create a symmetrical
piece that was simple but used lots of color
to bring out all the angles.

My piece was not inspired by anything. I used

a compass to create one big circle and then
multiple circles inside. Then I used a ruler to
conec t the circles together to form a design.

Andy Warhols Artwork

And Warhol had a whimsical and one of a
kind style. One of his pieces, Campbell Soup,
was an image of Campbell Soups but had 6 of
them.
Andy Warhol created the Campbell Soup
image for an advertisement but became very
popular for his colorful and unusual design.

Similarities:
Both pieces of art use lots of color and use circles to create the base of their
artwork.

Would Andy
Warhol like my
artwork?

If Andy Warhol was still alive to see my artwork, I believe he would

not like my artwork. I feel like he would dislike the simplexes and
no creativity. His style shows uniqueness and creativity which I
didnt do on my piece. I may have rushed to get this piece done
and not have thought it out all the way which leads me to say that
Andy Warhol would not like my radial balance art piece.
