We are going to organize a 2 and a half hour program to share our research on
sustainable development in Latin America to students seeking extra credit for classes such as
World Geography and Human Geography (GSA classes), Model UN, and current events UIL
students(this is a non-exhaustive list open to change). The 4 main topics that will be discussed
are: 1) urban planning and design in Brazils favelas, 2) international aid, 3) conditional cash
transfer in Columbia, and 4) microfinancing.
