Impact of educational Technology in teaching learning process

Two aspect in teaching learning process:

Technology as a thing
Technology as a social process

Learning theories play a pivotal role in teaching learning process,which

help teachers to intergate them into teaching
Began on the early 1959,the term educational technology yet to be
introduced.
In 1967 the word educational technology recognized with the
establishment of National Council for educational technology in the United
Kingdom.
Educational technology is correlated with the application of audio-visual aids such
as; radio, projector, television and computer.
Jagannath MohantyApplication of different modern method and
instruments is needed for assisting the teacher to perform his job better

Educational technology is not only a mechanical process but it is a social

activity as well including;
Ideas
Method
Human resources
And communication system
Usual explanation for ET
Educational technology will take the place of teachers and the result will
be unemployment.
No technology can give new thing because output is dependent upon the
nature of input . The input side is more necessary and it is dependent on
educator, the instructional materials cannot be made by ET .

Therefore ET will not replace the human teacher but will assist him in
improving teaching learning processes.
It helps in bringing equality in education regarding the economic,social
and geographical status of the students.
It helps also in the continuous flow of education through different
materials.
