Prompt:
In our study we are looking at the potential usefulness of utilizing digital formative
assessments in the classroom to create a more student centered learning environment.
These applications allow teachers to receive instant feedback about students progress
and then give students the individualized instruction necessary. In the following
questions when I say digital formative assessment Im referring to one of three
applications which would be used in the classroom during instructional time.
Opening:
1. How long have you been teaching at CHS?
2. Describe your current position.

Digital Formative Assessment Teachers:


1. What types of formative assessments do you prefer?

2. What is your experience with digital assessment tools?

3. What worries you about this project? Whats the worst thing that could happen?

4. In your opinion, what are the key challenges or barriers in integrating digital
assessments?

5. What type of support would you need to implement digital assessments in your
classroom?

6. Do you believe the use of technology is essential to high quality instruction and
assessment?

7. Do you believe administration would support your use of digital formative


assessments in the classroom? Why or why not?

8. Can you identify people in the school who would be a support or people who
would be a hindrance to this type of innovation? Would they have an effect on
your success with utilizing digital formative assessment?
