Instructional 1. Start with a review of the parts of a fraction.


Activities/Strate 2. The students will each get an egg filled with jellybeans.
gies 3. One eggs are opened; students will count how many jellybeans they have in
total.
4. After total is counted the students will separate the jellybeans by color.
5. Once separated the students will write out the fraction that corresponds to
the groups of colors.
6. Once fractions are written correctly students will go back to carpet for
group discussion and will volunteer to show work to class.
