Introduce the lesson (today well be learning number 20)

The teacher asks the students: who can count from zero to twenty?

She lets one student count and then praises him.


Time:

The teacher puts the numbers chart on the smart board and tells the students:
Okay now lets count to 20

The teacher points at the numbers, and she counts with the students.

After that, she picks one student and let him count and tells the students to
count with him.

Then she asks the students who can write the number 20?

She lets the student write on the smart board and if the student did something
wrong her asks the students: who can help his friend?

After that the teacher shows the students how to write the number 20 and
then she tells the students: lets write it on the floor

Lets write it on the ceiling

The teacher praises the students.

Introduce the learning centers activities for the students and then send them
to their tables.

Independent Experience (small group activity 1)


Give students number cards from zero to twenty and ask them to reorder them
in the correct order and then write the numbers on paper.

Independent Experience(small group activity 2)


Give students big buttons and ask each student to count 20 buttons and stick
them on the worksheet and then count the buttons and write how many beads
did they stick.

Independent Experience(small group activity 3)


Give students beads and string and tell them that they need to make a string
that has 20 beads so they can hang it to decorate the classroom
