Mise-en-scene checklist

Costume
Harrys character jeans, worn out converse trainers (black), black jacket,
white t shirt. Harrys costume is generally casual and conforms to mainstream
teenagers fashion as he wears a simple look which includes jeans, converse
trainers and a plain shirt.
Megans character like Harrys costume: jeans, hoodie, trainers. Megans
characters costume is similar to Harrys characters costume because it should
also follow typical teenager fashion. The costumes the characters will wear are
picked to appeal to the target teenage audience so that they can form an
emotional attachment to the characters and thus relate to the characters and
situations theyre in, making the viewing of the film a more pleasurable
experience.

Lighting
I will primarily use natural lighting for the majority of my opening sequence,
however from my research I found a convention of the thriller genre is low key
lighting and having a night/dark setting therefore some scenes will be filmed at
night in lowkey lighting with a lightbox to create a sense of mystery.
Props
Mobile phone this will be used in a scene in which Megan contacts an unknown
character, this will create an enigma for the audience as they will start asking
themselves questions about who she is talking to, this is also a typical
convention of thrillers.
Wigwam this is crucial to the plot as it will be where Harrys character will hide
during the chase scene before being caught by Megans character. This will be an
ideal prop as it is natural and works well for the scene as a hiding location.
