Team Challenge

General Rules:

1. Groups of 5 to 7 players

2. Ten dollar entry for each team. Teams may be all male, all female, or
mixed gender.

3. Points will be awarded with 1st place being awarded one point. 2nd
place will be awarded 2 points, 3rd place will be awarded 3 points, etc.
The team with the lowest number of points wins.

4. If there is a tie at the end of the competitions, a final competition will


be done between the teams that are tied.

5. Prizes:

a. 1st place 25% of the total entries for the competitive group.

b. 2nd place 20% of the total entries for the competitive group.

c. 3rd place 15% of the total entries for the competitive group.

d. 4th place 10% of the total entries for the competitive group.

e. 5th place 5% of the total entries for the competitive group.

6. Entry fee does no include the price of admission to the Expo.

Games:

1. Pole Bending on Bicycles

Timed event

Relay Race

Minimum 5 team members. Each team must have 2 bikes. Each member
must ride a pole bending pattern in succession tagging the next member as
they cross the line. The fastest time wins. The top six times will get to
compete in a run off. A 5 second penalty will be added for each pole
knocked over.

2. Apple Bobbing competition


Timed Event

Relay race

Minimum 3 players. Each team member will run across the arena and bob
for an apple. They must run back across the arena and tag the next team
mem ber. The best time wins. The top 6 scores will get to compete in a run
off.

3. Barrel race

Timed Event

Minimum 3 team members, may use 6 members forming 2 teams. Two team
members will pretend to be the horse and each horse will have 1 rider. They
are to run a standard rodeo barrel pattern, and the fastest time wins. The
fastest time for your team is the one that counts if you have 2 teams
entered.

4. Build a house

Timed event.

Five to seven players allowed, with 4 teams in the arena at a time.

Teams need to stack 12 tires (for older groups) 7 tires (for younger groups)

The tires are piled in the center of the arena, and each team will have a
designated corner. The teams must move the tires from the center to their
corner, and stack the tires. How you move and stack the tires is at the
discretion of the teams. The first team to complete their tower and it stays
for 10 seconds without falling, that teams time wins. Ties will have a run off.

5. Blind obstacle course….are you listening?

Timed event.

Four team members. Three are blindfolded, and not allowed to know the
course. 1 member of each team is in the center.

Two teams are in the arena at the same time. The center member is to yell
directions to the blindfolded team members who are to be lead in succession
through the obstacle course handing a baton to the subsequent team
member. The top times win the points. Ties will rerun.

6. Spool Racing:

Timed event.

Five team members are given a large wooden spool to ride. Two team
members will be on one side of the arena and 2 on the opposite side.

The team must get on the spool and propel it forward independently across
the arena. One team member crosses over, and hands the spool off to the
second member who is to propel the spool back across the arena. Until all 5
members in sequence have propelled the spool across the arena. Points are
awarded based on the placings.

7. Pillow Fight:

Everyone competes sequentially. Each team has a member who stands on a


standard size sofa cushion in the middle of the arena. They have a standard
size pillow. They have a pillow fight. When a person is knocked off of their
cushion even if only one foot is knocked off, they will be replaced by their
next team member. Once a team goes through all their members, they are
the losing team. The team with the last person on the cushion wins

8. Log Jam:

Five team members are on a log with another team at the other end.
You must walk along the log from one end to the other, passing the
other team without falling off the log. If a team member falls off they
must go to the back of the line and try again.

9. Other games could be considered.

Tie Breakers

1. Tug o’ war competition

2. Water logged. The teams pick one member to run across the arena.
They jump into a trough full of water, then get out and pull on
oversized clothing. They are to run back across the arena. First
person wins.
