The number of vacancies including reserved vacancies given above are tentative only and may
increase or decrease and also include 09 posts of Safaiwalla (Sweeper). Horizontal reservation
will be applicable irrespective of the categories under vertical reservation. Duties attached with
the posts advertised include all such duties and responsibilities as expected from a peon/watchman/
Gardener/Waterman in a Government Office like dusting/cleaning of the rooms of the officers /
sec tions /furnitures etc., moving of dak, supplying or drinking water, photocopying, binding or
files, watch and ward of Government building/properties, Gardening, Messenger etc. and any
other duties assigned by the higher authorities from time to time. The person recruited will be
posted in the abovementioned offices of the Indian Audit and Accounts Department. Presently, all
India service liability is not involved. However persons recruited are liable to be posted in any new
IA&AD offices or sub offices that may be created in the State of Odisha. Persons recruited in O/o Pr.
Direc tor of Audit, ECoR, Bhubaneswar are liable to be posted at its divisional offices at
Vishakhapatnam, Khurda and Sambalpur as also any new divisional offices that may be created
in future. 2. Nationality / Citizenship: The applicant must be either: a. a citizen of India, or b. a
subject of Nepal, or c. a subject of Bhutan, or d. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before
1st January, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or e. a person of Indian-origin
who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the
United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia
and Vietnam with the intention- of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging
to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility
has been issued by the Government of India. 3 (A) Age Limit: The candidate must have attained the
age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 27 years as on the closing date for receipt
of applications. 3 (B) The Upper age limit as prescribed in Para 3(A) will be relaxable: i. Up to a
maximum of 5 years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste (SC) or a Scheduled Tribe (ST)
category; ii. Up to a maximum of 3 years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward
Classes (OBC) who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates i.e. for the
purpose of age relaxation belonging to OBC category, the candidates should not belong to the
Creamy Layer as defined in Government of India, Department of Personnel & Training OM No.36012/
22/93-Estt,(SCT) dated 08.09.1993 and modified vide Govt. of lndia,Department of Personnel and
Training OM No. 36033/3/2004-Estt(Res) dated 09.03.2004 and OM No.36033/3/ 2004-Estt(Res)
dated 14.10.2008; iii. Up to a maximum of 10 years in case of candidates belonging to physically
handicapped category. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC who are physically handicapped,
the maximum age relaxation of 10 years permissible for physically handicapped shall be in addition
to the age relaxation provided in terms of column (i) and (ii) above; iv. Up to the maximum of 5 years
to the candidates of Jammu and Kashmir who have ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu
and Kashmir during the period from 1.1.1980 to 31.12.1989. (Any person intending to avail of the
aforesaid relaxation shall submit the certificate
from either District Magistrate within whose jurisdiction he/she had ordinarily resided or any other
authority so designated in this behalf by the Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir to the effect that he had
ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to
31.12.1989); v. Up to a maximum of 35 years of age (up to 40 years for members of Scheduled
Caste/ Scheduled Tribes and 38 years for OBC) in the case of widows, divorced women and
women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not remarried subject to production
of copy of the judgment/decree of the appropriate Court to prove the fact of divorce or the judicial
separation; vi. Up to a maximum of three years (8 y ears for SC/ST and 6 years for OBC’s
candidates) in the case of Defence Personnel disabled in operation during hostilities with any
foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof; vii. No age
relaxation is allowed to SC/ST/OBC candidates against unreserved posts; viii. As per orders of
the Comptroller & Auditor General of India, casual workers, who have been earlier engaged at
least for two years as on last day of-submission of application in the concerned offices of the
Indian Audit & Accounts Department to which the vacancies relate, will also be eligible for age
relaxation to the extent of period of their engagement as casual labourers. This relaxation would
be over and above the relaxation admissible to the SC/ST/OBC/PH/ Ex-S candidates. 3(C) Age
Concession for Ex-Servicemen will be allowed in accordance with extant Government orders
issued by the Government from time to time as indicated below: Ex-Servicemen; fulfilling the
conditions laid down by the Government from time to time shall be allowed to deduct military
service from their actual age and such resultant age should not exceed the prescrobed age limit
by more than 3 years (6 years in case of OBC and 8 years in case of SC/ST). Ex-servicemen
candidates allowed under this age concession will be eligible to compete for all the vacancies
whether reserved for them or not. Explanation: An Ex-Serviceman means a person who has
served in any rank whether as a combatant or non-combatant in the Regular Army, Navy, Air Force
of the Indian Union, and (i) who retired from such service after earning his/her pension. This
would also include persons who are retired/retire at their own request but after having earned
their pension; or (ii) who has been released from such service on medical grounds or attributable
to military service/circumstances beyond his control and awarded medical or other disability
pension; or (iii) who has been released, otherwise than on his-own request from such service as

a result of reduction in establishment; or (iv) who has been released from such serv ice after
completing the specific period of engagements, otherwise than at his own request or by way of
dismissal or discharges on account of misconduct or inefficiency, and has been given-a gratuity;
and includes personnel of the Territorial Army of the following categories, namely:- a. Pension
holders for continuous embodied service, b. Persons with disability attributable to military service;
and c . Gallantry award winners.
Note: (i) Ex-Servicemen who have- already joined government job in civil side after availing of the
benefits given to Ex-Servicemen for their re-employment are also eligible for the age concession.
However, such candidates will not be eligible for the benefit of reservation as Ex- Note: (ii) The
period of “Call up Service” of an Ex-Serviceman in the Armed Forces shall also be treated as
service rendered in the Armed Forces for the purpose of Para 3(C) above. Note: (iii) For any
service member of the three Armed Forces of the Union to be treated as Ex-Serviceman for the
purpose of securing the benefits of reservation, he must have already acquired, at the relevant
time of submitting his application for the Post / Service, the status of Ex-Serviceman and / or is in
a position to establish his acquired entitlement by documentary evidence from the competent
authority that he would complete specified term of engagement from the Armed Forces within the
stipulated period of one year from the closing date (30th day from the Publishing of the notice).
Note:(iv) Age Concession is Not Admiss ible to the ‘Sons, Daughters And Dependents of Ex-
Servicemen. Explanation: The persons serving in the Armed Forces of the Union, who on retirement
from service, would come under the category of ex-serviceman may be permitted to apply for re-
employment one year before the completion of the specified terms of engagements and avail
themselves of all concessions available to ex-servicemen but shall not be permitted to leave the
Save As Provided Above., The Age Limits Prescribed Above, Shall in No Case Be Relaxed. 3 (D)
recognized as equivalent to Matriculation. No other documents like horoscopes, affidavits, birth
extracts from Municipal Corporation service records and the like will be accepted. Birth Certificates
issued by Municipalities/municipal Corporations are however admissible. However, if the,casual
workers engaged in IA&AD, in whose case the minimum required educational qualification would
continue to be 8th class pass are non-Matriculate, they will be required to submit a certificate
indicating their Date of Birth as per records of the recognized Educational Institution, from where
they have passed 8th class, duly counter signed by the Inspector of Schools / District Education
Officer. Note 1: Candidates should note that only the date of birth as recorded in the certificate
submitted along with application will be accepted by the office and no subsequent reques for its
change will be considered or granted. Note 2: Candidates should also note that once a date of
birth has been claimed by them and entered in the records of the office for the purpose, no
change will be allowed subsequently on any grounds whatsoever. Note 3: The candidate should
exercise due care while entering their date of birth in the Application Form. If on verification at any
subsequent s tage, any variation is found in their date of birth from the one entered in their
Matriculation or equivalent examination certificate, disciplinary action will be taken against them by
the office under the Rules. 3 (E) Requirement of Certificates For Reservation: The details,of the
categories of disabilities allowed / eligible for the posts in accordance with extant guidelines of
the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment are as follows:- Nature of physical disabilities
permissible for the post One Leg affected (OL) One Arm affected (OA), Hearing Handicapped /
Low Vision (LV)/ Blind.• Provision, for one eyed candidates and v is ually handicapped (Low
vision) candidates using Magnifying Glass whose visual Degree of Disability is less than forty
percent will not be considered as visually handicapped persons. • Candidates who wish to be
considered as SC / ST / OBC / PH / Ex-S against vacancies reserved/or seek age-relaxation must
submit requisite certificates from the competent authority along with their application, otherwise,
their claim for SC/ST/OBC/PH/.Ex-S will not be entertained and their candidature / applications will
be considered under General (UR) category candidates. Representations from candidates for
reconsideration of their category at subsequent stages of the recruitment will not be entertained.
The recruiting offices will however have the discretionary power to reduce/waive off any of the
provision in exceptional and deserving cases. Note: Candidates are warned that if it is found at
any later stage that they have fraudulently claimed SC/ST/OBC/Ex-S/PH Status, appropriate action,
as per rule, will be taken against them. 4. Educational Qualification: (As on 01.01.2010) The
minimum required educational qualification is 10th Class pass. Note - I : In case of casual workers
engaged in IA&AD, the minimum required educational qualification would continue to be 8th class
pass However, if recruited, these candidates would be appointed to Pay Band -IS. For confirmation,
following conditions will have to be fulfilled: 1. These candidates will have to pass 10th from any
recognized Board of Education/National Open School. 2. Such candidates shall have to pass 10th
within a period of two (02) years. Failure to do so shall entail termination of services. 3. They
would also have to undergo prescribed multi skilling training. On confirmation, they would be
placed in Pay Band I with grade pay of Rs.1800. Period spent in pay band is will not be counted
as service for seniority etc. Note- 2: Those candidates who do not fulfill the minimum educational
qualification as on 01.01.2010 are not eligible and need not apply for the post. The certificate in
support of minimum educational qualification should be from a recognized Board. 5. No person: a)
who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or b) who
having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person, shall be
eligible for appointment to the service. Provided that Government of India may, If satisfied that
such marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other
party to the marriage and there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the
operation of this rule. 6. A candidate must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any
physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient discharge of his/her duties if in the service. A

RECRUITMENT OF DRIVER AND DRIVERS-CUM-PUMP OPERATORS IN CISF 2010
Applications are invited from Male Indian citizens for filling up the following temporary posts of
Driver and Driver-Cum-Pump Operator in Central Industrial Security Force in the Pay Band - 1
Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2000/- plus usual and admissible allowances to the Central
Government employees from time to time. They will be governed under CISF Act and Rules as well
as Central Civil Services Rules applicable to other members of the Force and other Acts and
Rules, applicable from time to time. On appointment they shall be entitled for the pension benefits
as per the “New Restructured Defined Contributory Pension Sc heme” applicable for the new
entrants to the Central Government services w.e.f. 01-01-2004.
Note: 1. The recruitment is open to all MALE Indian citizens only. 2. These vacancies may
increase or decrease depending upon the position at the time of final selection without any notice.
3. The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent. 4. Selected candidates are liable to be

be conducted on All India basis. 2. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: a) Age The crucial date for determining
age limit will be the closing date for receipt of application from the candidates i.e, 24-08-2010.
01. Between 20 and 25 years. 02. Upper age upto 05 years is also relaxable for those persons
who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of J & K during the period from 1s t Jan 1980 to 31 st
Dec 1989. The person claiming relaxation under this category should produce a certificate to the
effect that they had been domiciled in the State of J&K during the period from 1 st January 1980 to
31s t December 1989 from the District Magistrate within whose jurisdiction they had ordinarily
resided or from any other authority designated in this behalf by the Government of Jammu and
Kashmir. .03. The upper age limit is also relaxable upto 35 years in the case of serving employees
of CISF provided they have-rendered minimum two years c ontinuous service in Forc e and
completed their probation period satisfactorily. 04. Upper age limit upto 5 years is also relaxable
further to the children and dependents of victims KILLED in the 1984 riots and communal riots of
2002 in Gujarat. Children Means (a) son (including adopted son) or (b) daughter (including adopted
daughter) Dependent family member means (a) spouse or (b) children or (c) brother or
sister in the case of unmarried victim who was wholly dependent on that victim at the time of his
getting killed in the riots would be eligible. NOTE : This advertisement pertains to recruitment of
Constable/Driver & Constable/ DCPO (Male), therefore, only male children and male dependents of
victims KILLED in the 1984 riots and communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat will only be considered. In
order to be eligible for upper age relaxation in this category, the applicant should produce a
c ertificate to that effec t from the concerned District Collector/District Magistrate wherein the
victim was killed. 05. In addition to the above upper age is further relaxable by 05 years in respect
of SC/ ST and 03 years in res pect of OBC candidates as per Govt. orders . b) Educational

Qualification: (a) The candidate should have passed Matriculation or 10 Class from a recognized
Board or University b) Educational certificate other than State Board/Central Board should be
accompanied with Government of India notification declaring that such qualification is equivalent
to Matric/ 10th class pass for service under Central Government. c) Driving Licence: The candidate
should have a valid driving licence for both Heavy Motor Vehicle.
Attention is drawn to the following clause in the Motor Vehicle Act 1988,
a) Section (4) Age limit in connection.with Driving of Motor Vehicles. (i) No person under the age
of 18 years shall drive a Motor Vehicle in.any public place. (ii) No person under the age of 20 years
shall drive a Transport Vehicle in any public place. b) Section (7) Restrictions on the granting of
Learners License for certain Vehicles (i) No person shall be granted a learners license to drive
a Transport Vehicle unless he has held a driving license to drive a Light Motor Vehicle for at least
01 year. Note: 1. Unless the above provisions of Motor Vehicle Act are complied in the documents
(Driving License) submitted by the candidates, the Driving License will be treated as invalid as per
Motor Vehicle Act and the candidature will be rejected. 2. LMV licence obtained before attaining
the age of 18 years and HMV/Transport Vehicle Licence obtained before attaining the age of 20
years will not be considered valid unless a certificate from the concerned RTO regarding the
validity of the licence is enclosed and the candidature will be rejected. d) Experience 03 years
experience of driving Light Motor Vehicle and Heavy Motor Vehicle (Transport Vehicle) as on date
of reporting for recruitment. The experience in driving will be calculated from the date of issue of
licence for Light Motor Vehicles. If driving experience is from a date after the issue of LMV
Licence then experience will be calculated from that date. NOTE: The Driving License must
contain the date of issue of both LMV and HMV licenses. In case the Driving License does not
c ontain the date of issue either of LMV license or HMV licens e then a certificate from the
concerned RTO indicating the date of issue of LMV and/or HMV license as the case may be
should be obtained and producted before the recruitment board on the date of recruitment, else

this, they should have completed two years regular service in their respective grades and also
completed their probation period satisfactorily. III. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR EX-SERVICEMEN
CANDIDATES: a) Lance Naik or Sepoy in the Army or equivalent rank in the Air Force or Navy
having trade of Driver are eligible to apply for the post of Constable/Driver as well as Constable/
DCPO. Ex-servicemen holding the rank of Havildar/Naik or equivalent rank in the Army/ Air Force/
Navy and having trade of Driver may also compete in this recruitment for lower post provided they
fulfill the eligibility criteria and also they furnish their willingness in writing that in the event of their
selection they will not claim the post equivalent to the rank they were holding in the Defence
Forces. “Ex-servicemen” means a person who has served in any rank (whether as a combatant
or as a non-combatant) in the Regular Army, Navy and Air Force of the Indian Union but does not
include a person who has served in the Defence Security Corps, the General Reserve Engineering
Force, the Lok Sahayak Sena and the paramilitary forces; and (a) who has retired from such
service after earning his/her pension; or (b) who has been released from such service on
medical grounds attributable to military service or circumstances beyond his control and awarded
medical or other disability pension; or (c) who has been released, otherwise than on his own
request, from such serv ice as a result of reduction in establishment; or (d) who has been
released from such service after completing the specific period of engagement, otherwise than
at his own request or by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency,
and has been given a gratuity, and includes personnel of the Territorial Army, of the following
categories, namely:-(i) pension holders for continuous embodied services; (ii) gallantry award
winners. The Territorial Army Personnel will be treated as Ex-servicemen with effect from 15-11-
1986. The person serving in the Armed Forces of the Union, who on retirement from service,
would come under the category of the Ex-servicemen as explained above may also apply for
these posts one years before (as on the date of recruitment) completion of the specified term of
engagement. They shall not leave the Uniform until they complete the specified term of engagement
in the Armed Forces of the Union. Such candidates should submit a certificate from the Commanding
Officer concerned as per Appendix - “F’ b) Age : They shall be allowed to deduct the period of
Army service from their actual age and the resultant age should not exceed the maximum age limit
prescribed for these posts by more than three years. The upper age limit shall be further relaxable
up to 05 years in case of SC/ST and 3 years in case of OBC candidates on production of caste
certificates in the prescribed format .The crucial date for determining age limit will be the closing
date for receipt of application from candidates. i.e. 24-08-2010 c) Break in service : Should not be
more than 03 years from the date of discharge from Army/Navy/Air Force as on the closing date
for receipt of application from candidates. i.e. 24-08-2010 d) Educational qualification : Matriculation
