Construction Methodology and Procedure

After issuance and approval of the Notice to Proceed by the entity, the contractor
will coordinate with the entity officials and end-users responsible body on the exact
location of the proposed project. The contractor shall mobilize their equipment,
materials and personnel then install project billboards and warning/informative
signages. Afterwards, the contractor shall construct bunkhouses for their personnel
and storage rooms for the materials.
The contractor shall identify the works to be done in the area with the entity officials
and establish marking. Afterwards, removal of existing structures such demolition of
existing driveways, fences & trees. Excavation for pipe culverts shall be done. While
the excavation is on-going fabrication of pipe culverts will also commence. After the
excavation was finished the fabricated pipe culvert shall be placed on the excavated
area. Afterwhich the pipe culverts was being placed the fabrication of rsb for
manholes and drop inlets. After, pouring of concrete for manholes and drop inlets
shall be done.
After the drainage has been done, the preparation of subbase shall be done with the
same grade line/ profile with the existing concrete pavement. Spreading/ compacting
of aggregate subbase coarse is next, after the procuring entity conducted field
density test and passed the said test, the contractor shall proceed with the pouring
of shoulders (PCCP). After the removal of forms the curb and gutter will be the next
activity. Afterwhich, the sidewalks and concrete pavers shall be done. All works are
in supervision with a Projects Engineer/Licensed Civil Engineer. Construction safety
and program shall be submitted by the Accredited Safety Officer of the contractor.
All concrete works are in accordance with the latest edition National Structural Code
of the Philippines.
