A. PERMITS
Prior to start the construction for the drainage pipe, necessary permits shall
be requested from owner (FAI).
B. PLANS
Approved plans, shop drawings, layouts and elevation for the construction of
drainage pipe tapping to existing shall be provided and attached to the
permit/s for reference and/or further review by the owner (FAI) or owner
representative (ATMCI) prior for the activities.
C. CONSTRUCTION PROCEDURE
1. Existing concreted or asphalted road will be cut and demolish at least one
(1) meter wide for trench to excavate, appropriate for workers movements
in the trench during excavation and pipe laying works.
2. Trenches will be excavated to the required depths and grades of pipe to
install.
3. If existing utilities encountered during excavation and might conflict or
affects pipe invert and slope, the owner (FAI) or owner representative
(ATMCI) will be informed by the engineer in-charge for the necessary
corrective decisions for making good the said conflicts.
1. Pipe in trenches will be laid true to line and grade on a stable or suitably
prepared foundation, each section of the pipe being bedded where bottom
of the trench shaped to fit the lowest quadrant of the pipe circumference.
2. Wall of existing drainage manhole will be cut and chip with the required
circumference of the inlet pipe. It will be restored, finished and leave clean
and free from trash and debris after the activity.
1. After pipe lines have been tested, inspected and approved by the owner
(FAI) or owner representative (ATMCI) and prior for backfilling all forms
and bracings will be removed and the excavation shall be clean of all trash
and debris.
2. Backfill will be placed in horizontal layers of not more than 8” properly
compacted to an optimum density that will prevent excessive settlement
and shrinkage.
3. Disturbed concrete/asphalt road will be restored with new mixtures same
on existing.
