We Need You Society is a Voluntary Organization started in the year 1987 by group of Engineers,
Doctors Teaching Professionals & Social Workers. The society has its spread in Thane City &
Ghansoli. The Society works in the field of Pre-primary Education, Encouragement to youth,
Orientation & Educational support, Up-liftment of Women, Trade Courses for drop out students and
other related activities. We have our own premises comprising of Ground & One Upper Floor
admeasuring about 1500 sq.ft.
Balwadi, Eklavaya Program & Pustak Pedhi, Palak Shala, Community Polytechnic, Promotion of
other organizations activity at community level, Khan Academy Classes, Computer Literacy Course
are our regular activities whereas Family Advisory Centre, Teen Club for Ekalavya, Councelling Cell
For Women, Open Library For Students (Preliminary Activity Started), Semi English Pre-Primary
Students are planned activities in near future.

 (JAAG Joint Action and Awareness Group) - In year 1999 the elected representative of all
parties had a big fight in the house of Corporation. The common citizens who elected them got ire
with this incident. People came on road and had a one day fast calling it Sharam Uposhan
Shame fasting, Next whole week every evening people use to have small meetings on chauks. On
weekend JAAG took out a big procession in the heart of city and finally the mayor of city publicly
asked apology for whatever happened in House. This event gave birth to an organization of
common people and different organizations named as JAAG Joint Action and Awareness Group.

Some major achievements

1, Brahmala Talao fight with Capt Baba Chavan and JAAG and Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti,
Lake was encroached by some illegal structures, Now Brahmala lake is free of all encroachments
2. Bhupali Gayan in front of CP's house to protest Noise pollution
3. Campaign against tree cutting In year 1999 by Thane Municipal Corporation, which chopped
down thousands of road side trees for road-widening, Held rituals like donating hair as per the Hindu
customs resulted in establishment of Tree Authority in Thane
5. Successful agitation on planned elevated promenade garden near Talao pali, near St John having
an amfi theater. Thousands of students and their parents came on road and had a big agitation in
front of Corporation Head Quarter
6. Stay from the Mumbai High Court on Siddheshwar Talao encroachment by a builder supported by
local politicians
7. People's fight against un-economical and non-environment friendly Ring Route railway project
with a big awareness campaign through meetings and processions
