Topics Action
Following points related to engineering issues were discussed in detail :

Engineering Piping :
- SPCL agreed to maintain the upstream (5D) & downstream (2D) distance of SPCL
all flow meters as per the attached sketch. Wherever the distance is not able
to maintain the upstream & downstream distance can be maintained as
3Dx2D as per the approved datasheet.
- SPCL agreed to maintain all the flow meter distances for the Gases lines as SPCL
per the approved datasheet.
- SPCL agreed to maintain the distance of all flow switches at the all Machine
Cooling outlet as per the required distance. This will be applicable for all the SPCL
manifold assemblies wherever required. Due to this the main outlet header
(B.O.P.) is increased from +1800 to +2500 level.
- All piping inside the cooling chamber will be as SS material (to be confirm
SPCL
drg. 3003437.0).
- The socket weld coupling for water from DN50 & below to be considered at
pipe to pipe joint, and for Gases lines DN40 & below pipes also to be SPCL
considered, however in some of the BOM this socket weld coupling not
found so socket weld coupling to be used while doing pipe line fabrication.
- After chemical cleaning & passivation of hydraulic lines there is utmost
SPCL
necessity to wipe out water droplets from pipe inside and fully dry before
start of oil flushing otherwise there will be a problem to achieve required oil
cleanliness of the piping system. (to be confirm by SPCL).
- We observed that for P&T line of TOCB system there is a long U loop
formation having lowest elevation of -4200 mm for T line and -3800 mm for P
line, at this point the water will be accumulated and due to lowest elevation
it cannot be totally wipe out without having suitable drain point/ points. (to SPCL

be confirm by SPCL).
- The Layout hydraulic Power unit & Pump motor unit to be finalize (for WSU
Ladle Turret, Mould Oscillatio) due to civil foundation and conduit position
change .
- Whatever the changes will be done in drg. this will be resubmitted as a as SMSC
built drg. by SPCL. SPCL
- Whatever changes will be done due to site condition, civil foundation
mismatch, for better piping routing considering minimum bends shortest
SPCL
length etc. before the fabrication work that will not be claimable to SMSC.
