Introduction:

Siguro po narinig na natin ang mga kasabihan na "Time is Gold". May nagsasabi po na time is more valuable
than money, kasi unlike money or other material possessions na pwedeng bawiin or kitain uli, you can never get
back lost time. May kasabihan din po na "so much to do. so little time." May mga sobrang yaman na tao, na
tipong lahat ng klase ng luxury cars, vacation homes, jewelries kaya niyang bilhin. Pero most of them, they
would pay millions to extend time.
stem cell to extend one's life.

Kasi more than material
possessions, we crave for more time.

May nabasa po ako "There is only one thing more valuable than time and that's who we spend it on". Diba po
kapag in love tayo, gustong gusto natin ibigay ang oras natin dun sa taong yun. Gusto natin siyang laging
kasama.

Main Message:
Ang title ng message po natin ngayon ay God's gift of time. At ang main verse na gusto kong ishare for tonight
ay mula sa Psalm Chapter 90.

Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Before the mountains were born or you
brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God. You turn people back to dust,
saying, Return to dust, you mortals. A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by, or like
a watch in the night.
Psalm 90:1-4 NIV

Sa verse na to, makikita natin na before the beginning of time meron nang Diyos. In fact, sa story of creation po
makikita natin na si Lord ang creator of time.

And God said, Let there be light, and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the
light from the darkness. God called the light day, and the darkness he called night. And there was evening,
and there was morningthe first day.
Genesis 1:3-5

and just like other creations, may purpose kung bakit may umaga at gabi, kung bakit lumilipas ang panahon.
kung bakit may kapanganakan at pagtanda.

ang Diyos po, hindi siya limited ng time. pero ang buhay dito sa mundo ay bound by time. ayun po sa verse,
may Diyos na bago ang lahat ng nilikha, dahil siya mismo ang lumikha. from everlasting to everlasting You are
God. Kung ilalarawan po natin:
Eternity = Forever
Time = historical parenthesis within eternity (civilization approx. 6,000 - 10,000 years)
Lifetime = 70 - 80 years within time

Sabi nga po sa verse, we are mortals and who shall return to dust. Yung oras natin dito
sa mundo, parang kisapmata lang sa Lord. "A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by,
or like a watch in the night.

spend our days and years chasing earthly legacy but these things quickly pass and fly away. Since the fall of

We are consumed by your anger and terrified by your indignation. You have set our iniquities before you, our
secret sins in the light of your presence. All our days pass away under your wrath; we finish our years with a
moan. Our days may come to seventy years, or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but
trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away. If only we knew the power of your anger! Your
wrath is as great as the fear that is your due. "
Psalm 90:7-12

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Relent, Lord! How long will it be? Have
compassion on your servants. Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and
be glad all our days. Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen
trouble. May your deeds be shown to your servants, your splendor to their children. May the favor of the Lord
our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us yes, establish the work of our hands.
Psalm 90:12-17 NIV

Tinuturuan tayo ni Lord to number our days. Dahil nga limited ang time natin, let us invest our time according
to God's plan and purpose for your life and not focus on working for earthly possessions. Let us pursue our
vocations, our calling and not our career. Let us number our days- let us not waste time, let us not procastinate.
If may pinapagawa ang Lord sa atin, bakit pa natin ipagpapaliban.

"Establish the work of our hands". By God's mercy, grace and His presence, our labor and efforts are not futile
God establishes the work of our
hands, only God can give permanence and lasting meaning sa ginagawa natin. if we work for ourselves, when
we die we will soon be forgotten. But if we work for God, hanggang forever ang impact niyan.

He even redeems lost years. Every time we make a choice to follow God's way, what we are doing is obeying
His will for our lives, and that in turn frees up more time for us to accomplish more for Him. Mapapansin niyo

Let us grab every opportunity to share God's love, salvation and wisdom. Let us also learn to detect the things
that distract us from doing more important things and fulfilling God's purpose in our lives.

Conclusion:

Our time on earth is indeed precious and God's gift to us because it is through time that we show our love for
God and for others, it is through time invested in God's will that we make the world a better place and it is
through time that we prepare ourselves for eternity.
