Topic: Are you good in a crisis?

Aims:

• to read for specific information (scanning)

• to keep the correct information

• to guess the meaning of the words form the text

• to be able to use the new notions

• to compare answers with partners and explain choices

• to understand the meaning of words or phrases

• to be able to give good answers

• to know what to do in a crisis situation

• to know what does a crisis situation means

• to be able at the of the lesson to respond at all the questions asked by the
teacher
Stage Activities
Timing
1. Lead-in The teacher salutes the students and 2 minutes
introduces herself.
2. Comprehension The teacher will write on the blackboard 5 minutes
task the structure ”crisis situations” and ask the
children to give examples on their own about a
crisis situation.
After she heards all their ideas she asks
them to give other examples about possible
reactions to those situations.

3. Crisis Students are introduced to the topic of 3 minutes


presentation the new lesson. Teacher writes the title of the
lesson on the blackboard and discuss a little
more about these kind of situations giving
examples from their own lives.
4. Production The teacher gives them an exercise with 5 minutes
pictures were they have to find the corect
answer for that particular situation. This
exercise makes them to be familiar with the
specific words for the crisis situation and also to
give examples about what happened in each
picture, what was the cause for that particular
injury.
5. Practice The teacher will give them an exercise 20 minutes
were they must identify the meaning of the
phrases and they must also give the possible
causes that leaded to that situation. This
exercise is made in order to make them to
understand the crisis situaions and their
reactions.
The teacher gives them another exercise
were they have to find the right reaction for the
crisis situations.
The techear gives them a cross-word in
order to solve it. She leves them a few minutes
to look over it and solve it.
6. Feed-back The teacher corrects the exercises and 5 minutes
asks them if it is something that they didn’t
understand
7. Homework The teacher thanks them for listening to 5 minutes
her and asks them if they enjoyed the class/
lesson.
The teacher gives them as homework to
find other crisis situations for the next time.
The teacher salutes them.
