1. Teacher shows pictures of common teenage problems for the
students.
2. Teacher asks students about the pictures shown and elicits
answers from the students :
 What does the image shows?
Warmer 3 minutes
 Have you seen someone with this issue?
 What can be the causes?
3. Teacher asks the students if they have faced any of the
problems from the pictures shown.
4. Teacher then introduces the topic “What’s your problem?”

1. Students are instructed to turn their textbooks to Page 90 and


skim the passage silently.
2. Teacher selects some students randomly to share the

definition of each teenage issue and provides more explanation 20 minutes
and examples for clearer understanding.
3. Teacher discusses the vocabularies in bold with the students.
4. Teacher explains and writes the meaning on the board.

1. Teacher instructs students to turn their textbooks to pg 91.


2. Teacher explains the instruction and asks students to sit in
pairs.
3. Then, students are instructed to match the situations given in
the book to the teenage issues on pg 90.
4. Teacher does the first one for the students. .
While-reading 5. Next, students are asked to do No 2-8 with their friend. (pair 25 minutes
work)
6. Students are given 10 minutes to do so.
7. Teacher goes around the class to provide assistance.
8. Once done, teacher randomly chooses few students to come
forward and write the answers on the whiteboard.
9. Teacher does FB/EC
1. Teacher instructs students to answer the questions on Page
92.
2. Teacher instructs the students to remain with their pair and
complete the practice by identifying the prefix, root word and/or
suffix for each of the words given.
3. Teacher explains on the examples given on the practice (Q1-
2).
Post-reading 4. Students are given 10 minutes to answer the question. (Q3-12) 30 minutes
5. Teacher randomly selects few students to write the answers on
the board.
6. Teacher then gives the students another 10 minutes to guess
the meaning of the words.

7. Once done, teacher discusses the meanings with the students


and writes them on board.

Teacher reflects back the skills that the students need to put to
