Universal Design for Learning (UDL): English Language Learners will be all to view the research web pages in
both Spanish and English if necessary. Visually impaired students may use the speech to text function and all
words will be written for hearing impaired children.

Lesson idea implementation: Teacher will begin with a discussion about the Historical figures of Georgia and
will then present their bubbl.us presentation as an example for the students. The students will then work in
groups to create a mind map about their historical figure. The students will work on it for three days and then
present to the class.

Student learning will be assessed by a rubric and the teacher will give feedback to the students. During the
presentations, students will write something they learned about the figures in a graphic organizer and will
refer to that during a final discussion about it. Students will have to post their work on the classroom blog
without names if they wish to do so.

Reflective Practice: I feel like this is a good opportunity for group work with technology that allows students
to improve their research and communication skills. If available and time allowed, I would include a trip to the
media center to further research the topic and finish off with a field trip to the Georgia Capitol.
