2) Summary of the lecture
Lecturer talks about romanticism from the point of view of Charles Fourier, who
was a philosopher who had many ideas of a society in harmony, which considered
him as a utopian philosopher. Charles Fourier according to the lecturer was also a
socialist who manifested in his writings equality and justice in society, in fact he
stressed that women should have the same rights as men. Another of the details
mentioned by the lecturer is that Charles Fourier stated that the human being has
emotions which many times have been repressed; therefore, they must be
expressed.
