To Whom It May Concern;

It is a pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Erika Ceja Salas. Erika is a student in my Health and
Family Living class at Merced High School. She was in my Child Development class during her junior year. I have
known her since August 2016. As a student, Erika consistently demonstrates qualities that will enable her to be
successful. She maintains a good attendance record; she is attentive and follows directions. She completes all
assignments in a timely manner. Erika works well on both individual and group projects, working effectively and
cooperatively with fellow students. She consistently participates in class and expresses herself well in both writing
and speaking.

Erika has maintained a 3.8 GPA through high school. She has earned college credits for Child Development and
Psychology courses. I have also had the honor of having Erika in a student organization in which I am an advisor.
Erika has a positive attitude and a gentleness in her demeanor. She is realistic, self-motivated and responsible.
Erika is also bilingual. This has been beneficial in her work as a community volunteer at our local hospital. Her
communication skills are strong, demonstrating positive interactions with 2nd grade students in her community
classroom for ROP as well as her service at the hospital. The service opportunities she participates in also
demonstrate her ability to be adaptable.

Overall, Erika is a positive and hard-working young lady. She is responsible and motivated. These character traits
will serve her well as she pursues her college education and future career. If you have any questions, please
contact me.

Sincerely,

Tammie L Meyer
