To Whom it May Concern,

It is my pleasure to strongly recommend Jessica Tartaglia for the Elementary School Counselor position.
She worked with me at Twin Lakes Elementary as a School Counselor Intern from September 2019
through March 2020.

I am Casey Kadohiro, the School Counselor at Twin Lakes Elementary School. I have 5 years of
experience working in elementary-level education, and am one of the lead counselors for the Federal
Way Public School District. I have seen many great counselors come and go, but Jessica is one individual
I have worked with who uniquely stands out.

During Jessica’s time as a counselor intern at Twin Lakes Elementary School, she displayed great talents
in managing her time, absorbing knowledge and concepts of all counseling styles. It is evident that she
has a genuine love for building relationships. I was immediately impressed with Jessica and was lucky
enough to see her grow and develop into an exceptional counselor. She quickly began supporting and
implementing an innovative school-wide counseling program that we’ve both seen make a difference in
how the students behave and learn.

Jessica had an idea to target students that may be slipping under the radar. Students that don’t qualify
for intervention or SPED services but are also not academically performing at grade level. These
students are in need of extra support. She made data-informed decisions to identify students in each
classroom and implemented academic counseling intervention groups where students could learn and
practice study skills and goal setting.

However, it’s not just her innovative leadership and systematic change skills that impress me. Jessica is a
joy to work with because of her positive attitude and ability to never give up on a child. Her level of
empathy and commitment are valued not just by myself but also by her students, parents and the staff.

I am absolutely confident that Jessica would be a great fit for your school. Not only will she bring the
kind of skills and experiences you’re looking for in an applicant, but she will also quickly become an asset
and help both your institution and your students grow and thrive.

If you need more information or specific examples, please do not hesitate to contact me. I would be
happy to further elaborate on my time working with her, as this recommendation only provides a
snapshot of her talents and achievements.

Sincerely,

Casey Kadohiro
