Essay on Respect

Respect is a feeling of deep admiration for someone or something obtained by their

abilities, qualities, or achievements. In the same token, you should treat others in the way that

you would want to be treated to show respect towards them.Things like the cross are respected

by people because of what they stand for. The cross symbolizes the amount that God loves us. It

shows that he sent his Son to be our savior and die for sinners so we may have eternal life with

him forever. It is important to realize what things symbolize and be thankful for what they have

done for us.

Difference should always be respected. It is important to recognize what makes people

different and what makes people the same. We should be able to tolerate their differences or

what makes them the person they are. Being different does not mean that you are a bad person,

but rather unique and should be honored for not trying to be like others. I do have respect for

others and believe that if I show respect for them I will also be shown respect. I believe that it is

necessary to show respect to others in your life. I do this by being polite to others and not

judging them for who they are, but rather admiring their differences so they will be proud of the

person they are.

I believe respect is something that comes naturally and we learn more about it throughout

our lives and the way we are to treat others. However, even though we learn more about respect

we also start to understand what contempt is and use it in our lives. Respect can be used every

day during school or anywhere you are. For example, during school you show respect to your

teacher by paying attention and not talking when they are speaking. Also, as a student you
tolerate your classmates instead of showing contempt towards them and not listening to what

they are saying. It is crucial to have respect as it will affect your life as a child- in school- and

your life as an adult- at work.

There are no boundaries for respect, we should be able to show this tolerance for others

as much as we can. When showing or having respect for other we should not feel like there is a

limit of how much reverence we have for that person or object.
