The operating instructions have been prepared to be used by user. Hand-

over of these operating if1?tructions to the third person is allowed only with the
manufacturer's -permission.
The instructions required by the user to be acquainted with basic technical
and general issus of the aggregate and of operating and safety prescriptions.
These operating instructions do not include all conditions which may occur
during the service. Therefore it is ileGessary for operating staff to be present just
at assem bly of.the machine and its partial testing.
The regulations · are composed of describing and. operating part. The
describin g part infonns briefly about·indi\dual systems and turbine parts and its
accessories. The drawi ngs and montage turbine documentation in range· of the
con tract is to enable becoming more familiar wi th the machine.
The ope rating part contains directio ns for turbine starting up and operating.
Servi ce descri pti on is chosen for manoeuvring of the machine from a control room
or from t h e pl ace itself , using electronic of hydraulic regulation .
--· If requi red the turbine Plant will carry out anv modificat1on of operating
inst ru cnons accordin g to experience acqUll.ed durin g the trial run.

The t urbine is of a single-cas.ing, back-pressure type with control stage in form

two-row Curtis stage and suc.cessive four stages.
The turbine casing is divided horizontally. The bearing surface of flanges in the
paning are precisely machined so that metal-to-metal packing may be attained. No
packing is used. The bearing surfaces are to be applied by a thin layer of packing
material before the assembly only. The front bearing pedestal and the rear beafing
body are bol ted ru the casing. The casing is mounted, by means of supports, on
at
t he common frams of the set which form an oil lank lte same time (460 litre).
The nozzle chamber is located in the bottom half_of the turbi ne casin g. Stearn
is sup pl ied int0 the nozzle chamber through the control val ve and ·through the over
load mg valve . Steam from the nozzle chambers is supplied, t hrough a group of
nozzles, to the b lades of the Curtis wheel and further four stages.
... On the tur bines rotor i s control stage in form double-rim Curtis w heel and four
successive stages. The moving blades of all wheel are inserted by single ro w
.. T-roots into the slots in the wheel rim. The last so called closing blades are
inserted ill a special look and secured by a pin. The moving blades are provided
w it h banda ges on e very w heel circwnference .
The ro tor is mou n ted on two plain beanngs. The front ;s conbine (:adiail y-a.xial).
On t ile shaft tlp i s safety gorvenor.

F rom the viewp'oint of function, the oil system onsists of the l u bric9-tion oil
and distribution oil systems . The lu brication oil system Tp 166 -:ss.:a provides the
oil film for turbo-set beari..ngs and removes heat due to bearing friction . The
distribution oil system Tp 7934-P ensures a contin uous and reliabl e run of the
hydrau l ic control system . The same oil type is used for both oil systems so as to
make the design and operation easier.
The cleanliness and necessary oil qmility in aa.cordance With the Czech
standard CSN 65 6620 should be maintained during the operation. The systems
should be leakproof so as to provide both good operation and safety. Therefore, if
any leaks occurred, they should be always removed immediately .
