“SHORT FILM”
Video Production has three stages: pre-production, production proper, and post-
production. In this course, emphasis is given to the stage of production proper where
students can practice skills in direction, acting, cinematography, and production design.
In this final term project, students are required to produce a 5-10 minute short film with
screenplay outputs from their scriptwriting class.
Requirements:
Each group, composed of 6-8 members, is required to create a Short Film for their
screenplay outputs.
The production groups shall exhibit originality and creativity in the development of
the short film concept and shall apply what they have learned in their video
production class, specifically in the fields of Directing, Acting, Cinematography, and
Production Design.
Production groups are allowed to source out the talents (performers) needed for the
music video. Editing may also be outsourced. Students are expected to hone their
skills in Directing, Acting, Cinematography, and Production Design.
The deadline for the submission of the project is on or before May 31, 2018 (Thursday).
Outputs must be submitted on or before 12NN at the Media Center (MB 408). Late
submissions will not be accepted.
