SUMMERY Natural leader and hardworking student who is prepared to take on the
challenges of the Indiana Chinese Institute by fully committing to tutoring
and mentoring students studying Chinese. My goal is to increase my
students’ proficiency level in the Chinese language to set them apart from
their peers.

OBJECTIVE The position of teaching and mentoring Indiana Chinese Institute students

SKILLS & 1. Strong Communicator: My strong communication skills will allow

ABILITIES me to quickly become personable with my students and peers. I
am an active listener, so I will make an extreme effort to
understand what my student or employer is telling me. My strong
communication skills also allow me to read body language, so I
can easily tell if my student is having a problem through nonverbal
communication. I am not afraid to ask questions and try to be as
specific as possible when talking with others.
2. Organized: My organizational skills allow me to take my job
seriously, and get my work done. I always am prepared early, and
try to arrive fifteen minutes early prior to class, meetings, etc. I
dress professionally and keep extra supplies on hand a student
might need.
3. Skilled Multi-tasker: My multi-tasking abilities will come to use
because I am extremely efficient in my work. I will be able to teach
as well as be taught. I will be able to teach multiple students at
once. I could also easily grade papers, while doing other tasks
such as preparing lessons at the same time.

students the information and go beyond the expected standard. I
am willing to work early mornings and late nights to make sure my
students are properly learning.
