April 12, 2016 (Tuesday)

I started my OJT this day at the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and was assigned
at the National Barangay Operations Office (NBOO) Office of the Director (OD) under the supervision of Ruther A.
Damaso. He thought me first about the System Communication. How to encode in it and some other features of it
provided that the PC I am assigned to use was the mother-PC. Sir Ruther also introduced the employees in the other
three divisions to me, The Research and Profiling, The Community and Capacity and The Citizens Affair Division, and
tells me the locations of different offices within the department like the EPJUST, Records, Cash and Procurement
section.

Particularly, answering calls, photocopying, receiving document such as complaint letter and invitation,
delivering document to the other divisions and offices, encoding in the system and in logbook were the things I did on
this very first day. More importantly, aside from those tasks, I was amazed by several things and brought me to feel
like being in a place full of meaningful things that I must not messed up with. But instead of ending my day and
continuing my training the next day with this kind of dilemma, I set it as motivation to perform my best and avoid
mistakes. With huge exhale and simple smile, I called this a day.

April 13, 2016 (Wednesday)

I started the day by doing the same thing I did yesterday. I encoded communications in the system, printed
it and made it receive by the other division authorized to process it. I have gone to EPJUST and Cash section this
day. I had also answered a lot of calls and gone to other division by some purpose. I am not so busy this day
compared to yesterday. I have time to take a cup of coffee and brought some conversations with other people in the
office which took me the advantage of getting along with them more convenient.

April 14, 2016 (Thursday)

New task were assigned me to do this day. I arrange the printed files from December 2014 up to March
2016 based on date and time. My eyes were irritated after I’ve finished it because of a lot of number in small font.
That was the highlight of this day for me. After that, just like yesterday, I encoded again communications, printed files,
took it to other divisions and department, answer calls and photocopy and such. This day was so busy given a lot of
communications and extra task but I am now getting myself to work under pressure.

April 15, 2016 (Friday)

I’ve gone to office earlier than my superiors. I took my coffee and bread first while surfing the internet before
starting the day, yes, I used the WiFi in the office given the permission from my supervisor to do so whenever there
are free time. Tasks were also the same like before; encode, print, photocopy, answer calls, receive, made it receive,
go here, go there, repeat and repeat. Together with other OJTs we’ve attended this day’s mass inside the agency.
That thing made our superiors kind of surprised because it was the first time the OJTs in their office had attended the
mass. I do have lots of free time this day maybe the office was not that busy. Though I do repeatedly the same tasks,
I ended the week without perfectly performing those yet, yeah its natural after all but I felt like not.

April 18, 2016 (Monday)

I entered office again as early as last Friday, 7:10am, just to have a smooth travel. This was my first Monday
in office. My superiors and all the people in the office attended the flag ceremony except us to OJTs. We think that we
are not allowed to attend so. Same stuffs as before were also this very day’s. One thing was new, superior from other
division asked me to do task for him, and this was maybe the result of repeatedly asking him for one. Sir Edgar
officer from the research and profiling division gave me the task to double check the details of deceased public official
nationwide. That for me was another eyes-irritating task. I call this a day after I’ve finished it.

April 19, 2016 (Tuesday)

On this day, I did again task same as before. Answering calls, encoding communications, receiving and
made document received by authorized office, division or department to process it, and photocopying were these
task. One task for me was new this day; it was to do the current organizational chart in the Microsoft office word and
have it posted inside the office. This task made me knew about the positions and current status of every employee
within my assigned office. I now knew that others don’t over act according to their preference.

April 20, 2016 (Wednesday)

This was my 7th day as an OJT. Even though this was another day for me as an OJT I still can’t call this a
new day due to randomly repeated things facing me. But I am always thankful because it was a new day after all.
Being comfortable with the work place and officemates were nice things to happen. My shy type personality was now
fading. Thanks for the past few days that brought me this day.

April 21, 2016 (Thursday)

I’ve entered this day with high level of energy. I don’t know why but this was kind of nostalgic feeling for me.
But as I entered and continue the day, I observed that the people in the office were not that jolly as before. They were
very serious with their work that brought me also to be serious and hid my cheerful aura. Even though that was the
atmosphere in the office this day, I still did my task; encode, print, photocopy, receive files, made it received. I felt like
the time this day was very slow.

April 22, 2016 (Friday)

Another blessed Friday had come. I did again same task this day. One thing was new for me. That was to
use the photocopying machine as scanner and send the scanned file to Director Leo through e-mail. This task
brought me problem because the softcopy had gone to computer randomly. To sort it according to page number was
another eyes-irritating task. I ended the day with a lot of free time and rest.

April 25, 2016 (Monday)

I’ve started this week by doing same old task but unlike before, I felt quite nervous the whole day because
my supervisor was absent. I did the task of processing the complaints letter and some other important urgent
document without his supervision. No one will tell me if I am doing the right thing and when I asked them they told me
I should know it better than them given my about two weeks of work. I set this as challenge to perform better and do
the task more accurate than before. I ended the day with this motivation.

April 26, 2016 (Tuesday)

This day, my supervisor took again his absent. Doing again task without his provision got me kind of nervous
again. The Director took his leave for few days for some appointment abroad. It made my routine change because
instead of addressing to him all the concerns to be signed and approved I transferred it to another superior from other
division. I brought her huge number of complaints letter pending since the other day. I ended up the day with
encoding anything in the system and just keep on receiving communications.

April 27, 2016 (Wednesday)

My supervisor was still not present in the office this day. He’s still sick he said. But I still was going on the
same old tasks. The highlight of this day was the task given me by Sir Dennis of receiving unit to bring the document
at the Notary Public and got it signed. That was my first time I had gone to a Notary Public which for me another
experience. That was kind of weird for me.

April 28, 2016 (Thursday)

Sir Ruther was still sick that was why he’s not at the office yet this day. I hope he’ll be at the office tomorrow
to avoid problem that I was encountered this day. As I am doing my task-- encode, print, receive and made it
received, answer calls etc—Sir RC asked me of a document if it was already signed. I can’t answer him because the
document he’s concerned of had gone. I don’t know where to find until I ended the day. I just pray tomorrow this will
be fixed.

April 29, 2016 (Friday)

At last! After 4 straight days of being absent my supervisor was now present this very day. He asked me if
things had gone smoothly while he’s out for rest and I just tell him the truth that I’ve gone through hardships. The
yesterday problem of Sir RC was now solved. The document he’s seeing for was just missed place. Everything now
got back to its track. We also had attended this day’s mass. Coz you know, Its Friday! Today we also had the
celebration of birthday of one employee. That serves as a good thing to end this stressful week.

May 02, 2016 (Monday)

This was my 15th day as OJT. Everything had gone fine. I’ve knew few people this day through my job of
delivering documents to EPJUST section. They’re also PUPian. I’ve got some advice from them for my job career.
This day was pretty awesome for me knowing that there are people in the department who are in a high position. This
was another motivation for me.

May 03, 2016 (Tuesday)

Encoding of documents in the system and in the logbook, printing the record, receiving the document and
filing it into order to had it sighed by the Director, transfer it to division and section authorized to process it after it was
signed, photocopying and answering calls again and again before I got through this day. I ended a day of a warm
atmosphere.
May 04, 2016 (Wednesday)

I started this day by answering calls and photocopying documents asked for me by superiors from other
divisions. I had encoded several communications and had it receive by the other divisions. This day was literally full
of ups and downs because I have brought one file to our office, 24 th, down to Records section, 10th, and up again to
24th and down to 11th, EPJUST. That’s what I did today that made me stressed due to riding elevator repeatedly.

May 04, 2016 (Thursday)

By entering the office much earlier than all the people in my division, I started the day by opening and
activating the computers, other devices and even the system communication. Before my superior arrived, I already
finished the pending job yesterday, the encoding of delayed communications. I did also ups and downs this day
within the department. I ended a day with full of vacant time filled by conversations with the officemates.

May 05, 2016 (Friday)

This day was another day indeed because of another task given me. That was to fax a certain document to
all regional offices nationwide. The problem was I can’t contact them easily and sometimes unavailable. Aside from
this, back again to my old tasks, encode, print, photocopy, gone to this division and section, receive this, made this
received, answer calls and some other stuffs for the whole day. What a tiring day to end.

May 10, 2016 (Tuesday)

This day was very memorable and shocking for all the people in the department because of the result of the
2016 election. Just from the elevator up to our office opinions and heartaches about the result are flowing. A lot of
them were worry losing their job through the new administration but me I felt like continuing the day without over-
thinking what happened. I did again my job like before and wait to finish this very rare kind f day.

May 11, 2016 (Wednesday)

This day had gone like the days before, I continued the day doing same things I had used to do. Encode,
print, answer call receive and made it received the whole day. What was new this day was I used to go to offices I’ve
never been before, the office of the secretary and under secretary. Before I left the office, I was reminded by few
things within the office because employees in the office will be having there team building this next two days. The
director allowed as to still come at office giving as the task to do which for him will be our legacy as OJT, the creation
of the new library system of the office.

May 12, 2016 (Thursday)

We spent this day just with just us OJTs doing the task the director had told as to do. We already got the
necessary details of few books such as the title, author, year published and publisher. The other OJTs from UE were
assigned to do the system because they’re computer science student and we from PUP got the task encoding the
detailed of the books in a hard copy. We did not finished it yet because a lot of books are present and we were
waiting for the system to be ready for the encoding that for the UE students will take few days. We ended the day
with almost 300 books done.

May 13, 2016 (Friday)

Another day well spent by only OJTs in the office. We continued our task of creating the new library system
and we ended up almost half of all the books was done. Some people with different concerns made them call in the
office, but you know, we are just OJTs that’s why I just I them to call on Monday. Not just calls but also people came
at the office this day with their concern like to bring us complaint letter for Region 2. Just like what we used to do, we
attended again the Friday mass. We ended the day with a lot of pending communications that will make the
upcoming Monday very busy I guess. This week was a wearing one given the result of elections and the two days
only us, OJTs, in the office.

May 17, 2016 (Tuesday)

This was supposedly my 25th day in the office but I took my absent yesterday because I am not feeling well
that my body temperature rise to 36 degrees. For this day, I did again what my usual task. Ups and downs in the
building, encode, photocopy, print and answer calls. Whenever I had free time, I continued my task in the library hthat
before we finished our OJT the library will now be ready for use.

May 18, 2016 (Wednesday)

Technically, this day was my last day but I decided to have it until Friday to finish the library system. We are
almost done with it but the ones who assigned with the system itself were not present this day because of some
matter regarding their requirement for the OJT. I did again things which I did before—encode in the system and in
logbook, went to EPJUST, Records, Cash, Procurement and Budget section, print, answer calls and photocopying—
Another busy day had ended.

May 19, 2016 (Thursday)

 What we did this day was the final touches of our task that said by the director to be our legacy as OJT in
their office. We now categorized the books and put it in the shelves. We removed those who did not have number
and just the same books as others. Finally we are now approaching to say goodbye for the people we used to get
along very well. This day we applied for our Certificate of Completion that we were working for all this time. And we
ended the day with the thinking of having a good ending for this very memorable event of ou life.

May 20, 2016 (Friday)

At last, this day had finally arrived. This final day, we finished the library system and presented it to our
supervisors who are going to be the administrators of it. We attended the mass again and have our task done same
as before. Before we finally finished our OJT and left the office, Director Leo arranged a littele gathering treated by
him serves as good bye ceremony for this batch of OJT. We were very thankful to end it that way full of joy and
experience to treasure.
