Shailabimbaramaya, Keulekadawala, Trincomalee re visited after many years
You will be happy to hear that the following medical clinics were held at the venues as given below:-
1. Observance of Pansil and observance of 2 mts silence in memory of our fallen Ranawiru
2. The history of the glorious victory of our Armed Forces annihilating LTTE Tigers after the 30
years war was outlined and the people reminded of the tremendous sacrifices made by our
Ranaviru to establish peace in our motherland by Dr. AnulaWijesundere, on the 9th Anniversary of
liberation of our country from LTTE terrorism on the 19th of May 2009.
3. Talk about the aims and activities of Success- Colombo and health education talks about hazards
of smoking, alcoholism & betel chewing by Dr. AnulaWijesundere
4. Examination of about 1000 patients and distribution of free medicines
5. Classes in English and etiquette were conducted by Mrs. LakshminiWickremasinghe
6. The following donations were made to improve the economic status of the peoples living in these
areas.
i. Donation of Alkoton tubes 200 farmer families to Nandimithragama costing Rs.355,000/-
ii. Donation of 5 water motors to farmers of Bogaswewa costing Rs. 76,307/-
iii. Donation of 4 bicycles to Halambawewaand 1 to Madhupara costing Rs. 62,500/-
iv. Donation of water filters for kidney patients to Bogaswewa 08 and Halambawewa 02
costing Rs. 34,500/-
Total cost – Rs. 528,307/-
The above donations were possible due to the magnanimous contribution of Mr.&Mrs. Wijeratne
of Rajagiriyawho contributed Rs.500,000/- for social services projects of Success-Colombo.
The balance was contributed in memory of Mr. & Mrs. M. Wickramasinghe, Mr. &Mrs.Ekanayaka
and Mr.& Mrs. Fernando by a philanthropist.
7. Donation of Singer sewing machines to Sila-wathura 03, Narikadu 01, Bogaswewa 1, by doctors
of Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital and Dr. Prasad Kumarasinghe
8. Financial assistance was also given for other self-employment projects; improvement of housing,
purchase of agricultural equipment, improvement of boutiques, etc in Madhu and Narikadu
approximate cost - Rs.200,000/- from contributions towards annual social services projects of
Success-Colombo by many philanthropists.
9. The foundation stone for construction of the Budhu Madura at Weli-maluViharaya in
Halamabawewa was laid at the auspicious time on the 20 th of May. Estimated cost Rs.500,000/-.
This project is undertaken by our Vice President Ms. Sepali SriNammuni
10. Distribution of exercise books donated by Mr. Daniel of Man Kind Company and pencils, erasers
cutters, and exercise books donated by Dr. AnulaWijesundere to all school children present the
clinics.
11. Donations of wheel chair given by Mrs. ShanthiWijeratne to a disabled person of Padavi-Sripura
12. Transport cost for the above project was Rs.55,000/- . We are grateful to all those contributed
financially

Velgamvehera in Trincomalee built in the reign of King Devanampiyatiss 2200 years ago.
Muniyaramaya in Madawachchiya, Trincomalee built in the reign of Agbo the Fourth
Mangalaramaya in Mulannatuwa
Sadhaham Dharana Bavana Centre, Waragoda, Thalawa. Donation of Rs.80,000 for construction of
Sangavasa by Ms. Priya Rajapaksha, Mrs. Susila Silva, Felicia Weerawardana and Dr. Anula Wijesundere
