Hello All!!
Due to all of the many posi-
tive responses we got last year, we
decided to make another holiday
newsletter!! We hope you love
reading this as much as we love Our Vacation
Like normal, the family went to
creating it (sort of, we tend to Folly Beach, South Carolina
this summer for 10 days! Per
fight over who gets the most usual, Dean didn’t join us but
we did Celebrate Matthew’s
space)! high school graduation with
our extended family!! We saw
Best wishes for the New Year! our lovingly called, “family ma-
triarch and queen” Grandma
The Belden’s Mary, who is progressing
slightly! You can see the love in
her eyes!!

Plans for the New Year

This year will bring many chang-
es! Amanda will finish her junior
year of high school and start her
senior year! Matthew will contin-
ue to work hard at Home Depot
and go to school at Delta. Karly
will continue working hard in her
classes at Sierra. Emily and our
soon to be son in law Chase are
moving to Colorado in the sum-
mer, where Emily will finish her
teaching degree and Chase will
continue to run his business.
They also bought their first house
and took the big dogs with them!

ment!
Amanda and College
As we all know, Amanda is
very smart, she never fails
to let people know, nicely
or not. However, that’s not
the point of this. Amanda
took the PSAT her fresh-
man year, and since then,
we’ve gotten non stop mail
from colleges, and the ma-
jority of them are Ivy
League. But most of you
know this already, the ex-
citing news is that recently
Stanford has been person-
ally reaching out to Aman-
da!!!!!! It’s very exciting
and they’re extremely ada-
mant about Amanda com-
ing to see the school and
see what it’s all about!
The other part of that
though is Amanda still
doesn't know what she
wants to do. She’s leaning
towards pharmacy or pre-
med.
Matthew’s Working!
Matthew has been attend-
ing Delta here in Stockton,
and recently he got hired
at Home Depot!! He hates
to be completely honest
but he’s making money
which is nice. He is still
getting use to it. He works
long hours and often he
gets held there for a few
hours after his shift is over.
Of course now he talks
about moving out and buy-
ing a car.
Matthew and School
Matthew is attending Delta
and is exploring classes and
figuring out what he really
likes and what interests him.
Recently, as in like two days
ago, Matthew received an
email. His entire first year of
college at Delta is paid for!!
That’s $2,000 dollars cov-
ered! He received a grant
through the school! All that
was needed was that it was
his first year in college, he
had filled out FAFSA, and
that he was in good stand-
ing!

Our Trip to see Emily and Chase

Over the kid’s spring break (by kids we mean
Matthew, Amanda, and Karly. Emily and Chase
had spring break the previous week.) we took a
road trip down to see Emily and Chase in Arizo-
na! We rented an adorable condo in Scottsdale
right by Old Town. While we were there we ate
so much good food! Seriously, some of the best
restaurants we’ve been too. We went to a Dia-

and most importantly, spent time together!
Emily and Chase News!!!!
This past summer, Chase and his father
bought a bowling center in Colorado. Emily
worked as a lifeguard here in Stockton at
Beach Club. This is Chase’s senior year of
college and Emily’s junior year. We are so
proud and excited for Chase to graduate!! We
will be going down for the ceremony to help
celebrate him! Since this is Chase’s last year
at Arizona State University and he’ll be re-
turning to Colorado, the couple has decided
that Emily is going to join him in Grand
Junction. She will be transferring to a univer-
sity there called Colorado Mesa University
where she’s going to finish her teaching de-
gree. They looked for and found a house that
they absolutely fell in love with! They also
took the big dogs, Ellie and Zues out there
with them. Being two golden retrievers,
they’re definitely loving it there! The couple
has also been talking about their future
plans but they’ll be leaving those announce-
ments to do personally! Once they get their
house set up, they’ll be welcoming any visi-
tors who want to come see them!
Karen and Dean
Karen is still working at the church doing the bookkeeping for the church and the
preschool and continues to run around town like crazy! Dean is still working at UC
Davis Medical Center and still hates it. One a positive note, he gets every other Fri-
day off which gives him a nice three day weekend every other week! They both are
looking forward to retiring and are looking for places to move to!
