ABSTRACT

Mechanical behavior of composite concrete structures are difficult to analyze by an

analytical model, due to the nonlinear behavior of the composite material. FE analysis is
an efficient solution to overcome the problems.

In this study test specimen of Beam Section from Intze Tank Middle Section size
1000mm x 600mm having overall length 14m of grade M-30 was considered.

Ansys 14.5 software is used for finite element modelling. In this study unreinforced
beam and beam reinforced with CFRP and GFRP are compared on the basis of
deformation and stresses.

Analysis is done on intze water tank by wrapping with GFRP and CFRP with various
conditions on loading axially.

A compartitive study is done on controlled (RCC), GFRP and CFRP with wrapping at
different length of 1400mm long ring beam of Intze water tank.

In analysis done by Ansys 14.5 and the stress and deformation to be find out after
wrapping by GFRP and CFRP in Intze Water tank ring beam.
The conclusion of present study is CFRP provided more strength to the structure Beam
and effective than GFRP reinforced and Without FRP concrete material in reduction of
deformation and stresses.
Keywords: CFRP, GFRP, FRP, RCC, FEM, RAC.
