Guidelines for Manpower Planning (MPP)

Each depatment to refer the current pyramid structure and plan for desired pyramid for forecasting
Manpower Requirement
Refer last year data of attrition for projecting manpower requirements for replacement
Additional positions and numbers required to be specified clearly on the basis of business growth
projections
Focus to build on maintaining the average cost of the department as on March 25 while doing the
manpower planning; Salary cost of new hire not to exceed the replacement salary
Vacancies upto SSE / SDE to be filled through campus, wherever possible
Projections on positions that will be filled through internal movement/promotions at TL & Above positions

Lateral hiring to be planned only in case of specialized skill Requirement


The levels in MPP tempalte and location are indicative ; department may change the levels and location
as per the pyramid ( ex Sales department may like to project based on region/ geo / vertical; Strcuture for
each COEs in Marketing and Delivery to be defined clearly as per the role; Genesis may like to project
based on Portfolio)
Note: This is manpower planning projections for budgeting purpose. The approval process for
replacement and additional requirement follow the defined process
