Calculating Your GPA 
In order to calculate your current GPA, convert your letter grades to points, add 
the total, and divide by the number of classes you are taking.  
A’s=4 points 
B’s= 3 points 
C’s= 2 points 
D’s= 1 point 
F’s = 0 points 
 
Step 1). Convert your Letter Grade to Points 
 
Example:
Class Name Grade Point Value
1st Reading B 3
2nd Social Studies C 2
3rd Writing D 1
4th Science A 4
5th Math C 2
6th P.E. A 4
Total # of Points 16 points
 
Step 2). Add the Total of Points 
3+ 2+ 1 + 4 + 2 + 4 = 16 points 
 
Step 3). Divide by the Number of Classes 
16 points/6 Classes = 2.67 GPA
