Assignment Title: Q2 Mid-Unit: Beowulf

Student Writing Goal: My writing goal is to get a higher grade on it because I always get a percent that is still good but
I want it higher so that I can see my increase throughout the year. And also I know that I can do better by doing better
at my grammar.

1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.
3) Revise the paper accordingly and highlight any changes.
4) Submit the revision and this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?

The purpose of this writing assignment was to get a grade on so that we knew what the story was about and
also to write an essay about what happened in Beowulf. I also think that we wrote this assignment was
because we needed to do it so that we can put them all together in our portfolios.

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I think that my essay didn’t have enough information to show my teacher what I learned about Beowulf but I
know that I could’ve done better in this essay because if I were to add more information and more effort to it
I would have got in a better grade.

What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
I really liked how I started my essay because I know that I did good on starting an essay with important
information that I put.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?

I revised this essay because I needed to get a better score then what I got and also because I wanted it to be
correctly instead of having lots of missing mistakes on it.

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
I will be more focused and put a lot of effort and I will also check over it so that I can have less incorrect and
wrong grammar I will check all that so that I can submit it and have less corrections to do.

To what degree of success did you achieve your previously stated goal(s)?
My goal was to score a really good grade in it and I think I did really good with my essay because I still got a
good grade but I want to try my hardest and get a higher grade next time so that I can get a better at writing
and also my grammar.
