Lord Of The Flies End Unit

A dynamic character is someone that undergoes a change. Ralph is a leader. Piggy is

afraid to stand up for himself but in the end he does. Jack is the violent one. Ralph is the leader,

Piggy is afraid to stand up for himself but does at the end. Jack is violent but at the end he gives

up because the officer came and he didn’t want to get in trouble.

Piggy didn’t take charge or stand up for himself but at the end he started to stand up for

himself. “Let me go!” his voice rose to a shriek of terror as jack snatched the glasses off his

face”(page:139). Piggy didn’t fight back when Jack took his glasses from him. “Stop it!” he

shouted” D’you hear? Furiously he drove the water into Ralphs face”(Page:147). Piggy finally

stands up for himself against Ralph he was splashing him. Which Piggy never did that before. In

conclusion, Piggy changes towards the end and learns how to stand up for himself at least to

Ralph.

Ralph was in charge but then people started to take Jack’s side. At the end Ralph is the

leader. “Where’s everybody” Piggy sat up.”P’raps they’re lying in the shelter” “Wheres

Samnerie?” “And Bill” Piggy pointed beyond the platform. “that’s where they’re gone. Jacks

party” (Page:148).They were leaving Ralph to be with Jack because he is fun and they want

meat. “Who’s the boss here?” “I am” said Ralph loudly. A little boy who wore the remains of a

extraordinary black cap on his red hair and who carried the remains of spectacles at his

waist”(page:201). Ralph says he’s I charge and Jack realizes that he isn’t in charge. Jack wasn’t
in charge because if he was the officer wouldn’t have put up with his behavior. All in all, Jack

tries to be in charge but at the end of the story Ralph was in charge.

Jack is a savage and wants to be leader. At the end he isn’t leader and he has nothing left.

“Jack made a rush and stabbed at Ralphs chest with his spear”(Page:177). Jack tries to kill Ralph

because he made him mad then they get into a fight. “A little boy who wore the remains of an

extraordinary black cap on his red hair who carried the remains if a pair of spectacles at his waist

started forward then changed his mind and stood still”(Page:201). He was going to do something

but he stopped because he realized that it was over for him. Overall, Jack is very violent and cant

control his anger and he got caught at the end and realized that he lost everything because he

seen the officer.

Ralph is a good leader, Piggy is afraid to stand up for himself until the end of the story,

and Jack is violent but at the end he gives up because he gets caught. Piggy learns how to stand

up for himself at least to Ralph. Ralph is a good leader and proves that he is at the end of the

story. At the end of the story Jack realizes that he isn’t leader and he stop being violent because

he saw the officer there. In conclusion, all the characters change and the conch and Piggy’s specs

are broken so there are no symbols left.
