Mid--Year Academic Reflection

Seniors
You have finished your senior fall semester and are only a few months away from graduation!
Having had nearly four years of high school, take some time to reflect on your experience.

Thinking about your efforts and experiences in core classes since you were a freshman, what are
some of the ways you’ve evolved as a student? What has been your biggest challenge(s) in your
core classes? What are some of the most rewarding experiences you’ve had academically?
Consider examples that you may remember long after high school.

Some ways I have evolved as a student since freshman year is that I do all my work. I try to do
all my work and turn it in on time. I know that I have to do all my work on time. My grades
weren’t the best freshman year but now they are a lot better. I have also evolved as a student
because I am on time to all my classes. The biggest challenge in my core classes is when I don’t
understand something and I try to figure it out without asking for help. One of the best rewarding
experiences I have got academically is when I took Spanish 4 and at the end of year I took the
AP exam and I got a 4 on it. I will get college credits for passing it. Another example is winning
student of the month for December of last year.

Looking ahead, what do you need to do during your last semester to accomplish your goals?

In order to accomplish my goals in my last semester of highschool I just have to keep doing what
I have been doing this whole school year. I have to do my work on time, study for my tests and
quizzes, and be prepared for school everyday. If I just keep doing all the things I have been doing
I will accomplish my goals.
