Mid--Year Academic Reflection

Seniors
You have finished your senior fall semester and are only a few months away from graduation!
Having had nearly four years of high school, take some time to reflect on your experience.

Thinking about your efforts and experiences in core classes since you were a freshman, what are
some of the ways you’ve evolved as a student? What has been your biggest challenge(s) in your
core classes? What are some of the most rewarding experiences you’ve had academically?
Consider examples that you may remember long after high school.

As a student I have evolved by being more mature and understanding. Some things that helped
me mature and be more understanding were getting a job. When I began working it was a
struggle to balance school and work. The biggest challenge this year so far has been keeping up
with homework. The homework I receive isn't hard but I never really feel like doing it, so I don't.
I guess you can say I have senioritis and I only have two academic classes. Some of the most
rewarding experiences so far have been getting good grades without stressing myself too much. I
got a 3.5 GPA which got me a principal's honor roll paper. That was something that made me
happy and made my hard work worth it. Something I may remember when I graduate is getting
good grades and receiving a Principal's Honor Roll sheet.

Looking ahead, what do you need to do during your last semester to accomplish your goals?

During my last semester what I need to do to complete High School is get my mindset back to
school. I need to stop thinking about better things to do than School Work. I need to start
procrastinating so much and just go with the flow and do my homework. I also need to take
advantage of my time at school so I could go to work and not have to worry about homework I
need to do when I get home.
